POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A little late to the party, but here’s my TIFF51 post! I didn’t forget about it, I promise!

For those who know me, TIFF is basically Christmas to me haha. It’s easily my favourite time of the year, and this year was no exception!

Unfortunately, I only managed to see 12 films this year (which is honestly pretty LOW by my standards haha), but this was easily my most productive TIFF yet!

With the launch of the TIFF Market, I had the most meetings I’ve ever had in my filmmaking career. Between pitching projects, catching up with familiar faces, and meeting so many new people, it was a pretty crazy 10 days!

I think this was also the first time I genuinely felt like I was attending TIFF more as a filmmaker than a cinephile, which is a pretty surreal feeling considering I’ve been coming to this festival for years just to watch as many movies as humanly possible haha.

Of course, I’ll always be a cinephile at heart, but it’s pretty exciting to see how much things have changed and how far I’ve come!

Also, apologies for the slightly scrappy and all-over-the-place photo dump this year haha. I was so caught up in everything that I honestly wasn’t the best at taking photos, but here’s what I managed to piece together!

Huge thank you to everyone I got to meet and reconnect with this year! Already counting down the days until TIFF52! ❤️

Super excited and encouraged to announce that the 2nd ever project I directed, a music video for the talented CJ Cooper will be screening at the Forest City Film Festival this coming fall. I remember the planning for this video spanning months and the shooting only a day. We had so much fun on it, and if you haven't seen it yet, check it out on YouTube or come to the screening at Forest Cityu Film Festival on October 23rd and support!

DEVOTION 360 OUT NOW LINK IN BIO

This project would not exist without all the DEVOTED artists involved. Biggest shout-out to all the dancers for your commitment to the piece and resilience in that strobing sauna. Thank you @liamdeathdp for designing that insane lighting set up and then on top of that graciously offering to do some camera operating and colouring, appreciate you stepping up to the plate. Lots of love for @nickmaiorano who has worked with me on all my films and always knows how to execute my vision. I am often juggling multiple roles but styling always comes down to @hannaharso who makes my life a lot easier as I know she will make everyone look fireeeee. Last but not least @taylorcollis for not only helping me out with the moves but for keeping me on track and being my shoulder to lean on.

To top it off it was an honour to present my work @innovatefilmshowcase Thank you for bringing the community together for such an amazing event and kudos to all the other work presented, I was absolutely blown away and left inspired.

And to everyone, I hope you discover what it's like to completely DEVOTE YOURSELF
