I just spent a few days resetting at @elementsofbyron , Byron Bay’s award-winning luxury eco resort and honestly, it was exactly the wellness break I needed.
Lagoon-side margaritas, rainforest walks, local farm-to-table dining, and the dreamiest inside–outside villa setup.

If you’re craving a wellness staycation in Australia, add this place to the list. ✨

Would happily disappear here again!

A few weeks ago I stayed in Perth’s newest luxury hotel… but is it worth the price tag? 💲🏷️

I stayed at @hydeperthcity to find out and, honestly, I was pretty impressed.

The hotel is beautifully designed without feeling like it’s trying too hard, the pool is a gorgeous spot to chill even in the middle of winter, the staff were genuinely lovely, and the bed was so comfortable I slept like I’d been hit with a tranquiliser.

There were a couple of things I wasn’t completely sold on though. The $200-a-night security deposit is a lot of money to have sitting there while you’re on holiday, and housekeeping was running a little late on my second day, although, to be fair, they were short-staffed that day.

Would I stay again? Absolutely.

I actually think this is a very good shout for a Perth stay, particularly in summer when I can see that pool area really coming alive.

So if you’ve got a Perth trip coming up, save this one for later, I have a feeling Hyde is going to be one of those hotels you’ll want on your shortlist.

A few things I’ve learnt about skincare over the years…

You don’t need a stupidly long 10-step routine, but you do need to know what you’re putting on your face.

My current @muradskincareaus nighttime lineup:

1. Lipid-Enriched Cleansing Balm — to take the dirt of the day off.
2. Retinol Youth Renewal Oil Drops — for fine lines and skin texture.
3. Retinal Resculpt Overnight Cream — targeted overnight care.
4. Nutrient-Charged Water Gel — to hydrate and keep skin feeling good.
5. Retinal Resculpt Body Treatment Cream — because why shouldn’t our bodies get the same attention as our faces?

A tip if you’re new to retinal: start twice a week and build up as your skin gets used to it. No need to rush it, and don’t skip moisturiser.

Small things that make a difference. Glowing from the inside out ✨

Just out here awe-ing at the little things in life. 🌊

I’ve realised that sometimes, the things that make me feel most like myself have nothing to do with a wellness routine.

At the moment, it’s the occasional horse ride at @zephyr_horses. It’s something I loved as a kid but had somehow fallen out of touch with as I got older.

There’s something pretty special about being on a beach with no phone, no distractions, just the sound of the waves and the sea birds, and a little reminder of the things you used to love before life got so busy.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not giving up my wellness era anytime soon, but sometimes it’s nice to get out into nature rather than sitting cross-legged in a silent room with a mouthful of kale. 😂

At this point I’d consider Hotel rooms and Korean skincare…my Roman Empire.

I’m not saying @celimax.korea changed my personality, but this soundtrack suddenly feels very accurate.

There’s something about a hotel bathroom, good lighting and a skincare routine that makes me feel like I’ve got my life together (even if I absolutely do not).

These @celimax.global products have officially earned a spot in my skincare cupboard. ✨

I thought these sounded ridiculous at first

Electronic underwear? Be serious 😂

BUT… annoyingly, they’re kind of great.

I’ve been using the @megelinofficial EMS Boxer Briefs in between my glute sessions at the gym, especially on rest days when I’m trying to let the muscles recover but still want a bit of activation.

They use EMS to stimulate the glutes and pelvic muscles, and you can actually feel the muscles contracting while you’re wearing them. For me, the sensation is somewhere between muscle activation and a little massage, which I’ve really liked after training.

They’re also really easy to use just put them on like normal boxer briefs, connect the controller and go about your day. They’re soft, lightweight and can be worn discreetly under clothes too.

So yes… apparently I’ve reached the stage of my life where I’m outsourcing some of my glute work to my underwear.

And honestly? I’m not mad about it.

Use code LIAM10 for an extra 10% off if you fancy trying them 👀

Emotional maintenance. Kinda sexy, actually.

Men’s mental health matters too. Sometimes looking after yourself means letting yourself actually feel the thing instead of bottling it up.

Is the new Braun NEVO shaver really as great as they claim it is?

In short… yes, it really is that good.

I’ve avoided shavers like this for a long time and usually stick to a normal razor when I want a really close shave, so I was genuinely surprised by just how close the Braun NEVO actually got.

A few things I really liked about it:

AeroTouch Technology — this is probably the biggest thing I noticed. It glides over your skin really easily and you don’t need to press down to get a close shave, which I was slightly sceptical about at first.

The foil — the ultra-low friction foil and 250 diamond-sharp edges are designed to get really close without having to keep going over the same bit of your face 47 times. Always a win.

The display — it gives you real-time guidance while you’re shaving, which is actually pretty handy. It basically tells you how you’re doing rather than just leaving you to freestyle your way around your face.

The stainless steel body — it feels very premium in your hand and is made from a single piece of stainless steel, so it definitely feels like something that’s built to last rather than something I’ll be replacing next year.

And then there’s the self-cleaning… 🧼

This might actually be my favourite bit. You put it into the 7-in-1 Smart Care System, press one button and it cleans, lubricates and charges itself.

So basically, the shaver looks after itself better than I look after most things.

And after actually putting it to the test, I can see why Braun calls this their most premium shaver yet.

A perfectly close shave you barely feel.

Luxury Hotel Secrets Every Traveller Should Know 👀
Save this before your next trip ✈️

1️⃣ Always ask for late checkout
If you don’t ask… you usually won’t get it.

2️⃣ Your birthday probably won’t get you upgraded
Room availability matters far more than special occasions.

3️⃣ Nice guests often get treated better
Staff remember difficult guests… and not in a good way.

4️⃣ Book direct whenever possible
Hotels usually have far more flexibility helping direct bookings than third-party sites like Booking.com.

5️⃣ Ask what complimentary experiences are included
Many luxury hotels offer extras that most guests never even discover.

6️⃣ Arriving early or flying late?
You can often still use the pool, spa, gym, or facilities before check-in and after checkout.

7️⃣ Learn the staff’s names
Very few guests do — and it instantly makes you more memorable.

8️⃣ The most expensive room isn’t always the best room
Sometimes cheaper categories have better views, bigger balconies, or quieter locations.

9️⃣ Staying multiple nights?
Ask if better rooms become available after your first night. Room moves happen more often than you’d think.

🔟 Frequent complainers rarely get treated better
Friendly and respectful guests are usually the ones staff go the extra mile for.

1️⃣1️⃣ Don’t book the cheapest room expecting an upgrade
It’s one of the oldest tricks in the book… staff notice.

1️⃣2️⃣ Concierge can sometimes save you money
They often have access to local connections, deals, and experiences tourists don’t know about.

1️⃣3️⃣ Midweek stays often come with more flexibility
Weekends are busier, so quieter periods can work in your favour.

1️⃣4️⃣ If something goes wrong, stay calm
Hotels often compensate polite guests far more generously than angry ones.

1️⃣5️⃣ Staff notes follow you
If you’re memorable for the right reasons, it can affect your whole stay.
If you act like an arse… trust me, the whole team knows.

Save this for your next luxury hotel stay ✈️
