Shant always says if you start the year strong it carries the pace for the rest of the year. And that’s just what happened. Low rates and long hours in the first quarter helped carry a slower than normal second quarter.

My sweet Peter,

Today marks 10 years of marriage. 10 years with the love of my life.

The journey we have been on as you become a trauma surgeon (only 2 years left!) has been nothing but arduous. Long, grueling shifts, missed celebrations and family time, heartbreakingly difficult days, but also incredible days filled with lives saved and the shared dream of building a future where anything and everything is possible.

Through it all, I am just as deeply in love with you today as I was 10 years ago, maybe even more.

Five days of (very overdue) undivided family time ❤️

Being married to a 4th-year (almost 5th & final year🎉) general surgery resident is not for the faint of heart.

Day by day, we figure it out — scattered but structured chaos, 70-90+ hour work weeks, and family time that usually looks like the 5 minutes before Peter heads out the door at 4am.

I’m endlessly grateful for my amazing referral partners who understand, support, and cheer me on as I unplug. And even more grateful for my incredible work crew who always has my back.
