Another paranormal banger from Jenna Levine! One of the reasons I love Jenna’s books so much is because her humor is unparalleled. It is dry and witty, and I think it makes for the best cast of characters in the funniest scenarios.

And, of course, I loved Lucy and Daniel. Lucy is a self-proclaimed walking disaster and boy if I haven’t had those days, weeks, months. Her second chance at life was simultaneously empowering and absolutely heartbreaking. Same goes for Daniel. He is jaded from years of collecting souls and his time with Lucy both invigorates him and deepens his depression, knowing their love can’t be forever. So yes, while this book is hilarious, it also seriously handles death and how we choose to spend our days on this earth.

Love You to Death is about figuring out what (or who) fills your cup. It’s thought-provoking, swoony, and hilarious in every way that counts. There’s so much more I could say about this book but I will cap it here: I absolutely recommend you grab this read!🩷

Happy Monday!! I hope y’all had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Thought I’d start off with a little last, now, next since I haven’t done a reading update in awhile!

I feel so grateful to have just finished the traveling ARC of Jenna Levine’s newest release Love You to Death. It’s a romance about a reaper who falls in love with the women whose soul he has to collect. So good. More to come on that.

Currently reading Face Off and Yesteryear (technically just finished but shhh) Y’all I’m SHOCKED at how much I enjoyed it because of all the hate online!

Next up are some paranormal romances from some of my fav Berkley Romance authors, Olivia Dade and Mallory Marlowe! Thank you so much @berkleyromance for these gifted copies◡̈

Book Review🌾🤎🐄

Downpour by Maggie Gates
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“In every form that you exist, you are my sun.”

It’s been a long time since I’ve loved a book as much as I have this one. Downpour truly does not get the love it deserves on here!

Brooke is a HOT mess. What she lacks in coordination, she makes up for in drive, kindness, and confidence. Spending time with her reminds me that everything I do has a silver lining. Have to stop for gas? Get a gas station treat! The way she channels her love into Ray, his family, the ranch, and the animals provides such a warm and encouraging space for us readers that I just did not want to leave.

Ray learns how to love life again after a paralyzing bull-riding injury through Brooke. His love for her pushes him to confront the inner turmoil that has caused him to withdraw from his family, and it’s truly such a beautiful story. He learns not only how to ask for help and adapt in situations he didn’t need to previously, but also protects and loves Brooke in such a beautiful way.
