My parents, Ed and Catherine Thiele, married 70 years ago today! After two broken hips for Dad since January, it is such a blessing to celebrate these lovebirds who are finally back together again. I’m so grateful! Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! by @libtrogers

This morning, my dad will have surgery to repair his fractured right hip. Just about three months ago, I sat in a chair a couple of doors down in the same hospital as he had the same surgery for a fractured LEFT hip. The recovery is long and hard for him at almost 95 years of age, but weeks away from his love while in rehab is the hardest part! They will celebrate 70 years of marriage in June. Isn’t that amazing? What a legacy of love. by @libtrogers

68 years ago today, my parents were married. It’s an incomparable blessing to have parents who still, at 93, demonstrate love for each other every day. The bar is set high, and I am grateful. Tonight, my dad read a poem he wrote on their 50th, titled “I’d Do It Again.” It ends with these words: “I had no idea how good it could be with me loving you and you loving me. I don’t know what’s up in years that remain; But this much is sure, I’d do it again.” by @libtrogers
