Never tried printmaking? Your first print starts here. ✨

Join us at ArchPlate for a two-hour electro-etching experience and turn your own drawing into a handmade print.

You’ll draw on a prepared 4.5cm aluminium plate, then use electro-etching to create lines in the metal. Next comes inking, wiping and rolling it through the printing press. Lift the paper, and there’s your artwork!

Your design can be simple—a cat, a flower, or a little memory from your travels. No printmaking experience needed. We’ll guide you through each step.

🖼️ Take home your etched aluminium plate and 2–3 prints you’ve made yourself.

Come solo, bring a friend, or make a personal gift. Our regular studio sessions are private bookings, just for you and the people you come with.

Want to do more?
• Upgrade to a 7cm plate for a larger design.
• Add a papermaking experience and make your own paper too.

Please allow extra time for either option.

Currently obsessed with etching prints 👻🐈‍⬛

“Just one more colour” somehow turned into little monsters taking over the studio 😂 Ghosts in teacups, cats on broomsticks, dancing skeletons… same plate, endless colour combinations.

And that moment you peel back the paper to see your print? Never gets old.

Come make your own at ArchPlate’s Halloween special! 🎃

This is a shared group session, so come solo or bring a friend. In two hours, you’ll draw onto a metal plate, try electro-etching, ink it up and print with a printing press. No drawing experience needed — choose from our illustrated designs or bring a favourite image as your reference.

Afterwards, explore the art market, discover other artists’ workshops and enjoy live music. A little printmaking, a little Halloween outing ✨

I’ve been test printing a few tiny Halloween prints, and I need your help choosing a favourite 🎃👻

Which one would you pick: A, B, C or D? Tell me in the comments! I’m also thinking of trying a few more colours.

Throughout October, you can use one of my Halloween designs as your reference for a 4.5 cm print at @archplatesg . You’re welcome to bring your own image reference too.

Our guests often arrive saying, “I’ve never made a print before—will I be able to do it?”

Then the printing begins, and suddenly everyone loses track of time. One colour becomes two, one print becomes another, and “just one more” is never really the last one 😂

The most exciting part is lifting the paper from the plate. Before that moment, you never quite know how the final print will look—it feels a little like opening a blind box ✨

During this 2-hour electro-etching experience, you’ll go through the full process: drawing, etching, inking, wiping and printing your own artwork.

You’ll take home your metal plate and 2–3 hand-pulled prints. You can also bring your plate back another day and continue printing at our studio for free—just let us know in advance 🖼️

Our September weekends are now fully booked, so October weekend slots are officially open:

📅 17 & 18 October

⏰ Available starting times
10:30am｜2:00pm｜7:00pm

Weekday appointments are also available, and we welcome solo participants—no need to wait for a group.

📄 You may also add a papermaking session and make your own “Singapore paper” by hand. As it requires additional time, please choose a session starting before 3:00pm.
