Just me checking to see if my next morally grey, obsessed, stalker man has arrived yet. 👀📚

My toxic trait is thinking I can handle this book…

First of all, this book is NOT a romance. At first, I thought it was. I was like, “Aww, he’s saving her 🥹” …yeah. NO.

Then suddenly I got flipped upside down, backwards, forwards, and in every direction I could possibly be flipped because WHAT THE FUCK WAS GOING ON?! My jaw was on the FLOOR. 😭

I literally could NOT put this book down. I finished it in ONE NIGHT because there was absolutely no way I was going to sleep without knowing what happened.

Jodie could write something even darker than this and I’d STILL be sitting there devouring every damn word. Her writing in this book is unmatched. I genuinely don’t know what she puts in her books or why I love her writing so much, but I am EATING. IT. UP. Every. Single. Time.

Did this book traumatize me?
1000% yes.

Am I reading the second one?
Also 1000% YES.

I finished rereading it today, and I can definitely say I understood it a little better this time around. The first time I was too busy being shocked by what the actual FUCK was happening. Now I’m just sitting here impatiently waiting for Part 2 because I NEED to see what Krool does next. 👀

My Kindle might be pink.
My phone case might be pink.
My reading blanket might be pink with little cherries on it.

But THE BOOKS I READ ARE AS PITCH BLACK AS THE MIDNIGHT SKY. 🖤

Jodie King, you have officially ruined me.

Thank you so much to Lola King for the ALC of Giving In! I really appreciate the opportunity to listen to this one.

This is a dark bully romance that follows Jamie, whose curiosity gets her caught up in the world of Jake White, the golden boy who has a much darker side than he lets people see. When Jamie starts uncovering secrets about his past, things get a lot more complicated than she expected.

I enjoyed this one and was definitely curious to see how everything would play out. The pacing was a little slow for me at times, and I would’ve loved a bit more action and smut, but I still found the storyline interesting and want to see where it goes.

I’m definitely planning on continuing the series because I feel like there’s still so much to uncover. It also seems like it could be connected to Lola’s other series, although I could be wrong, so I’m curious to see if there are any connections!
