Life’s too short to wait until a ‘big’ milestone to celebrate yourself… so I didn’t 🤭. On 9/11, I turned 28 and threw a party that was so me—and honestly, it turned out to be epic! Huge shoutout to my friends and loved ones for showing up and celebrating in style. And above all, glory to God for giving me yet another reason to rejoice in His goodness and honestly giving me a 5 star life. If you weren’t there… you really missed out 😏 enjoy!

Came into 27 super unsure of my feelings towards it. Wasn’t necessarily sad or happy, but grateful to God regardless. My gals @ijayeji @mariam.oge @akudoamazing @natachi.life @chinyere.dk & Bry made this trip a special one! From hopping trains to trekking up millions of stairs to drinking cava and eating all the seafood Spain had to offer, bringing in this new year wouldn’t have been special without you girls present 💞 thank you for showering me with your love and time 🥺 I can’t wait for what 27 has in store!

29, be my morning. ☀️

28 met me in the dark.

I entered her unhappy, discontent, quietly unraveling - suffering in ways I didn’t have the language to explain.
28 was heartbreak.
28 was crying to my ceiling.
28 was asking God, “What is wrong with me?”

And somewhere between the tears, the rejection, the no’s, and the prayers I barely knew how to pray, I reached for God - and found pieces of myself there too.

At 28, things got personal with God.

I went back to therapy.
I found a church to call my own.
I went back to the water and rededicated my life.
I chose myself again.

And slowly, the girl who entered 28 became someone I almost didn’t recognize - not because everything changed, not because every prayer was answered, but because peace came anyway.

Maybe that was the miracle of 28.

It taught me to cling to God when I couldn’t cling to certainty. It became the beginning of my healing - mental, spiritual, physical - and somewhere along the way, I started shining a little brighter.

So, 29…

Be my joy comes in the morning.
Be my most whimsical.
My most joyful.
My most spiritually full.
My testimony year.

Let this last year of my twenties be whatever God has written it to be.

And if 28 was the year I found peace in the middle of the storm,

29, let me live in it. Happy birthday to me.🤍
