Giving back to the communities we’re proud to be a part of!

Our Team Rehab crew recently joined Life Remodeled to roll up their sleeves and help beautify neighborhoods throughout Detroit. From clearing debris to tackling outdoor projects, our team had a great time working together and giving back to the community. 💪🏡

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to step outside the clinic, work alongside one another, and make a positive impact in the communities we serve! @liferemodeled by @liferemodeled

This past weekend, Inner City Inclusion and new President, Aaron, had the opportunity to return to Detroit for a meaningful day of service in partnership with @liferemodeled! 🏙️📚

This experience was a great reminder of the importance of service, connection, and investing in the communities we call home. We’re proud to have our team represent our organization through hands-on service and look forward to continuing to build partnerships that make a lasting impact in Detroit.

Thank you to Life Remodeled for allowing us to be part of the work, and for everything you continue to do for the Detroit community!

Day five of the Six Day Project was one for the books! 🙌🏾

Our very own City of Detroit Mayor @marysheffield kicked off the day alongside some very special partners. While another incredible crew of volunteers kept the momentum going and continued making a difference through neighborhood revitalization, Durfee community members were also surprised with special gifts from our friends at @amazon and the @detroitpistons !

Tomorrow is the **final day of the Six Day Project**, but there’s still time to show up for Detroit and be part of the movement.

📍 Visit **liferemodeled.org/projects** to sign up and join us for the final day!

Neighborhood revitalization looks SO good on you, Detroit! 🤩🤩

From Monday through Wednesday, thousands of volunteers put in some serious sweat equity across Detroit’s Eastside neighborhoods—and the impact is already showing! 🙌🏾

Now, we’re bringing that same energy to the Westside! 💪🏾

The Six Day Project continues through Saturday, and there’s still time to get involved. Come roll up your sleeves, make a difference, and help us transform Detroit—one neighborhood at a time.

Mobility Creates Opportunity 🚌

SMART CEO @tiffanyjgunter chats with Diallo Smith, CEO of @liferemodeled for a part 2, to talk about something that connects us all: mobility.

Getting from Point A to Point B is about more than transportation. it’s about having access to jobs, education, resources, community and opportunity.

When people can move, opportunity can move with them.

Access to mobility is access to opportunity. 🚌❤️

More than football.

Yesterday, our seniors stepped off the field and into the community, serving @liferemodeled to help revitalize Detroit neighborhoods.

Proud of these guys for giving their time, working together, and representing Notre Dame Prep with character and purpose. @thisisnotredame @ndprep_athletics #MoreThanFootball #NDPFootball #LifeRemodeled #serveothers by @liferemodeled

🍂 Fall is officially here, but a little bit of summer is still blooming in the DIS Community Garden. 🌻

Lettuce is growing. Flowers are still blooming. And throughout the season, people have had a place to get their hands in the soil, spend time outside, connect with one another, and enjoy something they helped grow.

A thriving neighborhood includes spaces that make everyday life better — places that are beautiful, healthy, welcoming, and shaped by the people who use them.

This garden is one small example of what Environmental Mobility can look like in everyday life.

This summer, the DIS Community Garden fed so many, and there’s still more growing to do.

There’s something that happens when thousands of people decide to show up for Detroit neighborhoods.

Strangers become teammates. Coworkers work side by side in a completely different way. Residents and volunteers share stories between hauling brush and cutting grass. And by the end of the day, you can see the difference on the block and in the people who were part of it.

That’s part of what has made the Six Day Project special over the years.

Thousands of people have come together alongside Detroit residents to care for neighborhoods, clear overgrown properties, beautify blocks and create the kinds of environments every neighborhood deserves.

And somewhere between the work, the sweat and the laughter, connections get built too.

These are a few of our favorite moments from years past.

Swipe through. And if you’ve ever been part of the Six Day Project, tell us your favorite memory in the comments.

Haven’t experienced it yet? This year’s Six Day Project is September 28–October 3. Pick a day, bring a friend or your team, and come be part of it.

Detroit is a city of neighborhoods.

And the future of our city and region is fundamentally connected to whether those neighborhoods and the people who call them home have opportunities to thrive.

A thriving neighborhood is about more than what we can see. It’s about whether young people have strong educational pathways. Whether residents can connect to careers that create economic mobility. Whether families live in safe, healthy, and beautiful environments. And whether longtime residents can benefit from the progress happening around them.

That’s the thinking behind our E3M strategy: Economic Mobility. Educational Mobility. Environmental Mobility.

We believe all three matter if the goal is to cultivate thriving-class neighborhoods.

Because Detroit’s future will be shaped, neighborhood by neighborhood, by the people who call this city home.

Something interesting is happening after school.

Students are showing up for esports even on days when practice isn’t scheduled. They’re texting Coach Jenna asking, “Where are you?” They’re competing, creating, broadcasting and designing — and along the way, they’re learning how to lead, communicate, manage emotions and be a good teammate.

Those skills travel a lot further than the game.

Through Future Firsts, students can choose to compete or create, with experiences ranging from competitive esports to live broadcasting and graphic design. Professionals and Wayne State University students help them develop skills and explore where those interests could eventually take them.

And the early results have been exciting to watch.

As Coach Jenna puts it, these students have “jumped headfirst” into the experience.

That’s what Educational Mobility can look like: young people discovering something they love, gaining confidence and skills, and beginning to see possibilities for their futures that they may not have considered before.

🎮 Meet Coach Jenna and some of the young people building skills for what comes next.

Music has the power to connect, inspire, and create opportunities for Detroiters to thrive.

For Nazim Fakir, a “Motown baby” and son of Four Tops legend Abdul “Duke” Fakir, that power is personal. Through music, mentorship, and community programming, Nazim is helping people discover their talents, build confidence, and create new possibilities for their futures.

“We understand the community’s needs, and we need alternative ways to build our community, and that’s what we do.”

This is what thriving looks like, when people have access to opportunities, meaningful connections, and spaces that help their talents flourish.

We’re proud to work alongside Nazim to create more opportunities for Detroiters to thrive.
