i’ve been using @lightwish_official ‘s watercolour sheets for a while now, and i recently got the chance to try out their 24-colour watercolour travel set! 🎨

it comes with everything you need to paint on the go ~ watercolour paper, paintbrushes, a water cup, a pencil and a water spray. plus, the bag is so compact that you can easily bring it along for your next café sketch, travel journal or outdoor drawing session!

i’ve been trying to step outside my comfort zone and do more live drawing and filming outdoors, but honestly, i felt so out of place setting up my camera and felt SO awkward at first 😭 hopefully, this is the start of me getting more comfortable creating art outside my room!

if you’re looking for a portable watercolour kit to take on your creative adventures, you can use “KIMUSART” for 10% off on Amazon or Lightwish’s official website (link in bio) 🫶🏻

happy painting! 💌

Day 14: still water in oil pastels 🎨

Today’s #painttober prompt is Still Water, and it’s only my third time ever painting with oil pastels. Honestly I don’t love how it turned out… but I learned something worth sharing: colored pencil layers on top of oil pastel (more like scrape it a bit while still adding color 😂), and those pencil details at the end helped a lot.

Have you tried layering pencil over oil pastel?

I used a very creamy oil pastel set and watercolor journal that @lightwish_official kindly sent my way a few weeks ago 🫶🏼

Get 15% OFF with my code TONIA1013 until October 24! 🎨

I put the Lightwish watercolor set to the test in a beautiful autumn garden, painting flowers and enjoying the fall colors.

The paper is absolutely perfect! I’m not even exaggerating when I say I want to use it for my regular artwork, too. The watercolors are lovely, and the brushes are comfortable to hold and great quality.

— Claude Monet

—

A little late, but here’s October’s page in my @lightwishart calendar!

Two quotes to keep in mind while painting (and maybe in everyday life, too):

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” — Pablo Picasso

“To see we must forget the name of the thing we are looking at.” — Claude Monet

Which one resonates with you the most?
