3️⃣ In gruppo, a dipingere ovunque capita

Lightwish Christmas watercolor Set @arttherapywithsana

I read somewhere that holly leaves symbolize resilience and eternal life, staying green even in the coldest seasons, while the red berries represent warmth, hope, and the little sparks of life that remain.

Maybe that’s why I chose this for my first postcard… a reminder that even in changing seasons, some parts of us continue to grow.

What helps you stay green through your own changing seasons?

Comment SHEEP, and I’ll send you the link to the free step-by-step painting guide!

A big thank you to @lightwish_official for this incredible watercolor set!

Use code Marina10 to get 12% storewide 🤩

• Paint a fluffy yellow oval with squiggly strokes and drop in some orange and red.

• Add a U-shaped face, oval legs and arms, and teardrop-shaped ears.

• Create the witch’s hat using an infinity shape, a triangle, and a little crescent moon at the tip. Fill it with purple.

• Add a little pumpkin bag, shadows, and fluffy texture with wispy strokes.

• Finish with a pink V-shaped nose, a smile, and rosy cheeks.

• With a fine liner, add striped tights, W-shaped hooves, cute little gloves, tiny eyes, and eyebrows.

• Loosely outline the sheep, add a shadow underneath, and finish with a few highlights.

Happy painting!

There’s something so freeing about working in monochrome. Without color to think about, I can quiet that part of my brain and focus on the shapes, textures, contrasts, and movement of the sky and water. Just light and dark, softness and edges, stillness and waves.
I’m enjoying the process of learning, experimenting, and seeing where the pastels take me.

Created with @lightwish_official and @sennelier1887 soft pastels on @fabriano1264 paper.

Today I’m exploring a red and vibrant sunset in soft pastels as part of my daily cloud practice. I love how each sky offers something new to learn, from the warmth of glowing colors to the play of light and shadow. With every painting, I’m discovering a little more about the ever-changing nature of clouds. Plus, I go back and forth over whether I want to keep the paper texture or blend and build to cover it.

Quick watercolour sketch using lightwish sketchbook and Daniel smith paint. I am quite surprise with the quality of paper. It stays wet for quite some time which is always a plus
