We have four more performances of LILITH at @thetanknyc!

Before Eve, there was Lilith—the first woman, who would not bow to Adam or to God’s order. Yet love ties her to the garden as she and Eve forge a bond of desire and defiance. Drawing from Mesopotamian mythology and Jewish folklore, LILITH boldly reimagines one of our oldest stories through new eyes.

Before Eve, there was Lilith—the first woman, who would not bow to Adam or to God’s order. In this bold reimagining of the creation story, love ties Lilith to the garden of Eden as she and Eve forge a bond of desire and defiance.

"Is it possible to love God, as Adam does, without vetoing all other worldviews? Is it possible to love someone without owning them? Is it possible to love someone, and also love someone else at the same time?

Lilith says yes."

Lilith, a new play written by Adina Aaron and directed by Samantha Ozeas, reimagines the character once again, adding new layers of complexity, dignity, and affection to her story. The production, which runs at The Tank in NYC from August 7-22, explores sexual politics and spiritual conflict in an Eden full of wonder, anger, and longing.

Two more chances to see LILITH at @thetanknyc!

Come witness this bold, queer reimagining of the mythology behind Lilith, Adam’s first wife in Jewish folklore. This play contemplates desire and autonomy, offering a feminine lens on a traditional story as Lilith returns to Eden, not for Adam, but to see if she can give Eve a taste of freedom.

Tickets available for August 21st and 22nd at the link in our bio!
