Come hell or high water 🌧️ our amazing friends will always fill your plate. So grateful to the @lilithpgh team for working through a torrential downpour, AGAIN. We have no idea why rain always comes for their dinners with us, but you’d never know it from the incredible meal that they prepared 💘

We also spent our first Weeknight Dinner of the year stuffing our faces with 🍅s courtesy of another of our closest friends, chef @kateromane & her @blackradishpgh team. The entire dinner was gluten-free, though it didn’t appear that way in the slightest. Thank you to @allorawinegroup for the incredible pairings, and to all of our guests who were truly a delight.

There's nothing quite like mom's cooking. Here, Made In customers and chefs Rachel Wiener of Ojai Valley Inn and Jamilka Borges of Lilith Restaurant reminisce on the dishes that comforted them most as they grew up. For chef Wiener, it was her mother and granmother's mung dal. For chef Borges, it was always her mom's sopa de plátano with arañitas.

An incredible Monday night at Lilith trying Mami Jennie’s Puerto Rican Feast! 🇵🇷

Every single bite a unique explosion of flavor and textures. Can’t say enough good things about this meal

We had:

Beef & onion-cheese empanodillas
Crema de malanga, crab, croutones de soboo
Shrimp Ceviche with tomatoes, cilantro, lime, orange
Pork pernil with escabeche and mojo sauce
Yuca stuffed chicken with guava bbq sauce
Tres leches, Dianne Style
Mango quesitos

If you take a turn down a small residential street in Shadyside, the restaurant @lilithpgh sits in all its glory, full to the brim with customers. Soon, fans of this establishment and its two owners, Jamilka Borges (current semi-finalist for the 2026 James Beard Awards) and Dianne DeStefano, will have a new spot to venture to called Giulia.
