I’d say this is a bit overdue…

This week I started law school at Case Western Reserve University School of Law on a full tuition+ scholarship as a Hugo Grotius Fellow and Cox Center for International Law Research Fellow. YAY!

In May, it was an honor to graduate from Ohio University with a master’s degree in Political Science, concentrating in Comparative Politics and International Relations. In addition to earning a 4.0 GPA and gaining my first experiences teaching in a classroom (!!!), I completed a capstone research paper titled Democracy at Dusk: Populism, Dynastic Power, and Authoritarian Nostalgia as an Electoral Strategy in Southeast Asia’s Strongest Democracies.

This was a very exciting project that brought together my interests in democratization and democratic backsliding, disinformation, authoritarian nostalgia, and global trends in populism and nationalism, while allowing me to further develop my regional expertise in Southeast Asia.

🇺🇸!!!

“Patriotism has never been about pretending our nation is without flaws. Patriotism is every act of righteous dissent, it is every march led under the heavy sun, it is every protest held a decade before its time.”

Celebrating democracy as our backbone, diversity as our strength, and the fundamental belief in our ability to be better.

Praying for a future of progress, professionalism, and decorum.

A future where America upholds and embodies the values so many of us belief in: individual rights, equality, accountability, transparency, respect for diversity, protection from discrimination, and the rule of law—upheld and abided by at all costs.
