Set inside a former spice warehouse in Hudson Square, interior designer @lilywickdesign’s loft pairs historic architecture with a contemporary approach to living.

Antiques, custom pieces, and smart spatial planning shape a home that feels layered but never heavy. It’s thoughtful, functional, and distinctly her own. 🥰

Living Room

This room is the heart of our apartment and where we spend the vast majority of our time. I focused on striking a balance—making it beast (toddler) proof while maintaining elements of sophistication and character. I love that it feels both well lived-in and purposefully designed. by @lilywickdesign

My kitchen!

Swipe right for the inspiration, my drawing, the rendering and finally the before.

I’d decided what I would do with this kitchen long before we actually bought the apartment (and had to sit on my hands until we did!). I knew I wanted to capitalize on the high ceilings of the loft space. I love more traditional kitchens, and spend a lot of my time designing them, but this felt like am opportunity to do something different. I received many looks like I had 4 heads along the way but thanks to the best team I couldn’t be happier with the result

Bobby, my best friend and I spent all day yesterday running around like chickens with our heads cut off getting ready. One of my moms best friends, knowing the pre party day we’d have, showed up at 3 and took Wick to Whole Foods to get groceries we’d forgotten so we could have a moment to reset. So grateful for grand/god mamas in whatever form they take ❤️ by @lilywickdesign

Many of you have asked me about kitchens. I love kitchens! Here is one I worked on in Long Island. My client’s architect drew initial floor plans and then we went in, moved things around to maximize the space and natural window light and I drew elevations to bring everything to life. Finally, we selected all the fixtures and finishes and I created a detailed schedule to hand over to the contractor. Excited to see this once it’s complete… by @lilywickdesign
