Survivor-led. Beyond therapy.
Programmes, retreats & community for women rebuilding agency & belonging.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Liminal Rhythm Trust is a registered charity (CC64521) supporting wāhine to move beyond survival.

Our work sits in a space that is often overlooked — what happens after the immediate support ends.

Not crisis response.
Not early intervention.

But the longer process of rebuilding identity, connection, and direction.

We do this through:
– Structured online programmes
– In-person retreats
– Community-led experiences
– Ongoing innovation through Milwaka AI

Everything we build is grounded in lived experience, and designed to support long-term, sustainable change.

If you’re new here, welcome.
You can follow along here for updates, or explore more as we continue to build.

Five regular donors are already helping us support wāhine beyond survival 💛 Could you be one of our next five?

This October, we’re growing our circle of regular donors from 5 to 10 — people who believe wāhine deserve opportunities to reconnect, grow and build a life beyond sexual harm.

Through EmpowerME, wāhine find connection with others who understand, space to explore who they are, and support to imagine what comes next.

Regular donations help us plan ahead and keep our programmes and retreats fully funded for participants. A small amount each month can help create something lasting.

✨ Become a regular donor by 31 October.
🌿 Prefer to give once? Any koha is warmly welcomed.
🤍 Sharing this post helps us reach our next supporter, too.

Visit the link in our bio to give.

Thank you to our first five donors — we’re so grateful to have you alongside us.

Belonging matters. And sometimes, we see exactly why. 💚

We’re in week 7 of our first EmpowerME cohort under the Liminal Rhythm Trust banner, and last night an ongoing connection was made — a relationship with room to grow beyond our weekly sessions.

That is one of the biggest benefits of the EmpowerME group programme: connecting with others who understand, finding common ground, and building relationships that can continue long after the programme ends.

For wāhine rebuilding their lives after sexual harm, being seen, heard and valued can mean so much. Alongside the tools and reflection, there is the opportunity to feel part of something — and to carry that connection into everyday life.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, the theme “Belonging Matters” feels especially close to our hearts.

Last night reminded us that supporting wāhine beyond survival also means creating space for connection, community and belonging. 🌱

Are you organised, thoughtful and passionate about work that makes a difference?

Liminal Rhythm Trust is seeking expressions of interest for a new Board Secretary.

The Secretary plays an essential role in helping our Board work effectively. This person will bring clarity and care to our governance processes, helping trustees stay informed, organised and focused on LRT’s purpose.

The role includes:

Coordinating Board meetings and agendas

Preparing accurate, timely minutes

Maintaining key governance records

Keeping track of decisions and agreed actions

Supporting clear communication across the Board

Helping LRT meet its governance responsibilities

We’re looking for someone dependable and detail-focused who communicates clearly, handles sensitive information with discretion and shares our commitment to survivor-centred practice.

Previous secretarial, administrative or governance experience would be welcome, although a strong values fit and willingness to contribute are equally important.

Interested—or know someone who might be? We would love to connect.

Learn more and express your interest: liminalrhythmtrust@gmail.com
Expressions of interest close: Friday 30th October

Please share this opportunity with your networks.

Could you help guide LRT into its next chapter?

Liminal Rhythm Trust is seeking expressions of interest from a thoughtful, values-led person to become our new Chairperson.

Our Chairperson will provide inclusive leadership to the Board, support strong governance and help ensure LRT remains focused on its purpose and the people at the heart of our work.

We’re looking for someone who can:

Lead with empathy, integrity and sound judgement

Create space for respectful, constructive discussion

Support effective and responsible decision-making

Build strong relationships with trustees, staff and stakeholders

Champion LRT’s survivor-centred values and long-term vision

Governance or leadership experience would be valuable, but just as important is a genuine connection to our kaupapa and a commitment to leading in a collaborative, trauma-aware way.

If this sounds like you—or someone you know—we would love to hear from you.

Learn more and express your interest: liminalrhythmtrust@gmail.com

Feeling excited and hopeful after joining today’s launch of the Consumer, Peer Support and Lived Experience Workforce Strategy and Action Plan 2026–2031. 🌿

One phrase really stayed with me: moving from inclusion to integration.

Lived experience belongs wherever decisions are made — shaping services, leading organisations, designing solutions and evaluating what makes a difference.

This aligns so closely with why we’re building @liminal.rhythm.trust: a survivor-led charity supporting wāhine beyond survival, where lived experience informs our approach, our programmes and our vision for the future.

It was encouraging to hear the focus on fair pay, sustainable resourcing, reflective practice and pathways into leadership. Those doing this mahi deserve support to thrive too.

And the conversation about ethical AI felt especially relevant to our work developing Milwaka — bringing survivor perspectives into how technology is designed, governed and used.

There is so much possibility in this next chapter. I’m excited for LRT to contribute, learn and grow alongside this workforce. 💛
