Sometimes growth requires distance.
Not everyone is meant to come with you into the next version of your life. Some people only fit the version of you that was afraid to change, afraid to set boundaries, or afraid to choose yourself.
Cutting people off isn’t always about anger or hate. Sometimes it’s about protecting your peace, making room for new opportunities, and becoming the person you know you’re capable of being.
You can appreciate the role someone played in your life and still decide they no longer belong in your future.
Growth will cost you people, habits and environments that once felt familiar.
