POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🧡Yesterday Nadim — min väg från flykting till hela Sveriges polis (From Refugee to the Nation’s Police) had its world premiere at @goteborgsstadsteater 🎉

And what a play it is — beautiful, moving, and carried by brilliant actors 🫶🏽💐

I truly believe we need more stories like Nadim’s. About the complexity of being human.

About conflicts that tear loving families apart.

About racism and imbalances of power, and about the thin line between the life you live and the one you could create with the right people around you.

❤️And above all, about human connection — about what it means to be surrounded by people who lift the best in you, who believe in you and open doors to brighter paths.

I met @nadim.ghazale in 2022, when we moderated Polisens dag together. The same evening we went to the premiere of Jonas Hassen Khemiri’s play at Dramaten.

A few months later I was in Paris with @lindazachrison, and we met up with Khemiri and talked about theatre and about reaching people who never set foot in one over dinner.

Some time after that I was listening to Nadim’s book on @storytelsverige, read by @nadim.ghazale himself 🧡And it was like someone whispered in my ear: this has to become theatre! 🎭

So I asked Nadim. And he said yes! 🧡✨

Then I reached out to brilliant @lindazachrison — and she took it from there 🧡 Together with her team at Göteborgs Stadsteater and in collaboration with @borasstadsteater, they made it real, and put it in the hands of playwright @linden_lisa, director @fredrikevers, and the two people who carry it amazingly on stage, @ashkanghods and Elin Bornell🌟🌟. In October it opens in Borås, then goes on tour…

A beautiful collaboration between two theatres and a whole team — so in tune with Nadim’s story about what people can do for each other, made real by people doing exactly that.

🧡The day before the premiere, Nadim and I sat down at WOW Talks at @wayoutwestfestival, in collaboration with @storytelsverige. The podcast is coming soon, and more dialogues connected to the play are on their way🧡

See the play, read the book and keep the storytelling and dialogue of what brings us together alive 🧡 by @lindazachrison

📍Leipzig Germany 🇩🇪
Swedish theatre premiere at the Residenz @schauspiel_leipzig!
Swedish actor and theatre maker @iggy_malmborg has created the new strong work “Exit-Pieces” in coproduction with Residenz Schauspiel Leipzig, @goteborgsstadsteater, Inkonst (Malmö) and TOASTER Copenhagen.
In the first part, Iggy Malmborg holds a lecture performance on the esthetics of the theatre. In the second part he dissects a dysfunctional family with extremely unhealthy relationships.
The excellent actors Mia Höglund-Melin and Jesper Söderblom, both from Göteborg City Theatre, are scaring and entertaining.
The project shows how important it is for the independent field to work with the institutions - both worlds benefit.
Thanks to Thomas Frank, Melanie Albrecht and Enrico Lübbe for the trust and the invitation! Thanks to the whole team and production manager @elisabethcarmengemeiner
And thanks to director @lindazachrison Zachrison for coming to Leipzig for the premiere.

BILJETTERNA ÄR SLÄPPTA!! 💙🎭

Många ❤️❤️ även till @lindazachrison @borasstadsteater @solpineromisa by @lindazachrison

👥 The Gothenburg Film Festival also provides an opportunity to meet and discuss potential Italian-Swedish collaborations.

🎭Thank you to Linda Zachrison for welcoming us to the Gothenburg Stadsteatern! There are many interesting projects to come!

In the background is the beautiful Venetian tapestry, which was made especially for the theatre. The Italian-Swedish cultural dialogue is already embedded in the building here!

The Gothenburg Book Fair (@bokmassan), taking place from September 25–28, 2025, has officially released its program—and it includes a major highlight: American Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright @tonykushner.fye will be attending, invited in collaboration with the @goteborgsstadsteater and the @swedeninusa! 🇺🇸🇸🇪

Kushner, who among other works wrote Angels in America, is scheduled to participate in a unique conversation with Swedish author @jonas.gardell, as part of the fair’s focus on drama and international literary voices.

This year’s themes are “Love and Desire” and “Drama”, with a strong emphasis on stage arts and the written word’s journey to performance. The fair promises a vibrant mix of passion, performance, and global perspectives, making it a must-visit for literature and theater lovers alike. 🎭💕

Gothenburg Book Fair is the largest cultural event in the Nordic region and one of the most significant book fairs in Europe, with more than 80,000 visitors, over 800 exhibitors, and 300 seminars. 📙📚
