It didn’t happen in a few shows…It took 5.
It didn’t happen in a few years…It took 10.
10 years of learning, growing, failing, getting back up, & refusing to quit.

It took me 4 years just to restore my internal health before I could return to the stage last year. This was my second year back & my first national show competing in Masters 40+.

As most know, my story isn’t linear, however ….every setback taught me something, & every season made me better.

There were moments I questioned myself. There were moments I wondered if it would ever happen. Then one day, I stopped wondering if... & started knowing it would.

This show was different. I walked in believing it was going to happen. I felt this was the one. Everything aligned so seamlessly. It felt effortless—not because it was easy, but because I had finally become the athlete I needed to be. It was my time. I knew it.

People say bodybuilding is an individual sport. Yet, NONE-of this happened by myself. You don’t get here without a crew behind you. Without support. Without people who believe in you, esp the days you struggle to believe in yourself. The people who are truly ride or die.
Moments like these have a way of revealing who those people are. To my crew who has stood beside me through every high & every low... thank you will never be enough. (More posts to come❤️)

I didn’t just earn my Pro Card.
It represents so much more than a title. It represents resilience. Proof that dreams don’t have expiration dates. Proof that perseverance matters, & proof that sometimes the journey takes exactly as long as it’s supposed to.
Everything happened exactly as it should have, & there isn’t a single part of my journey I would change.

This isn’t the finish line.
It’s the start of a whole new chapter.
I still can’t fully wrap my brain around it...
But I finally get to say the words I’ve dreamed about for so long—

Still don’t have the words to describe how this past weekend went. I have tons of pics, & thank yous, but I’m starting off here- with this …

I can’t even say how thankful I am for this man right here. From cooking my food.. packing my food.. working extra.. allowing me to work less.. letting me focus on prep this year.. picking up so much slack, and never missing a beat..

Thank you. This was only possible because of you. Now let’s finish this season off right 💓

As I keep saying, what a full circle moment.

This was my first overall anything— The 2021 1st Annual.

Then, after several years away due to sickness, this became my comeback show. I wasn’t even sure I’d ever be able to do anything like this again… and somehow, I proved myself wrong. The 2025 5th Annual — and I almost won the overall.

And now, I got to stand here & watch my husband make The 6th Annual his comeback show after shoulder reconstructive surgery back in 2025.

While he was recovering & unsure of his own road ahead, he still poured so much of his focus into helping me earn my pro card this year. And somehow, while helping me chase my dream, he found his way back to his own.

He came back. He got on stage. And he proved he could do it, too. And he earned his first overall show title… Forever proud of you.. TEAMUS 💋

Same show. Different year. Full circle. 🖤
