What a fun day! It was so great to meet @tessabaileyisanauthor at @josephbethlex today. She is so friendly and actually answered my question on which of her books is her favorite. 🤩 We love an honest spice queen.
I’m reading Fangirl Down right now and I can’t wait to dive into The Au Pair Affair immediately afterwards.
Hope you enjoyed Kentucky, Tessa! by @linzlibrary

Permanent spot on my feed?? I think so!! This almost 39 year old Swiftie had the time of her LIFE Saturday night.

I can’t explain how amazing it was. It was like a giant glittery sparkly sing a long in the happiest place on earth. Everyone was living and loving and having 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 time! I wish I could do it all over again but I’m so glad I was lucky enough to have a ticket. Also, I think I manifested the 3rd secret song with my “Call It What You Want” bracelet!!!

My top 3 albums are
1) Reputation
2) 1989
3) Red

What’s your favorite Taylor song or album?? by @linzlibrary

Have you ever read a book and wanted to gatekeep it? Like, it was SO good but you also want to say “BUT I LOVED IT FIRST” kind of thing. That’s how I feel about The Washwoman at the River’s End. It’s a perfect romantasy to dive into and it’s on Kindle Unlimited, climbing the charts. Goodreads rating of 4.4 and I give it 5 ⭐️ (obviously).
This is the perfect read for a fall day where you can relax and do nothing but read this book!

What book left you wishing you could read it again for the first time?

POV: You find a 5⭐️ read randomly on Kindle Unlimited.

If “The Poison Daughter” by Sheila Masterson @sheilareadsandwrites isn’t on your list, add it quick!

🩶Dark romantasy (but honestly not *that* dark)
1️⃣Standalone so the plot 👏🏻 keeps 👏🏻 moving
💍Arranged marriage
🗺️Easy to follow world building
🥀Her kiss is poison and kills everyone instantly - except him

I devoured this one. I so appreciated a romantasy with action from the jump and world building I don’t have to break a mental sweat to understand.

Have you seen any hype for this one yet? by @linzlibrary

Happy Labor Day! This summer my library really knocked it out of the park with new releases.

I gave The Shampoo Effect a solid 4⭐️. Maybe even 4.5!

Synopsis: 📖 Caroline Lash moves to a small coastal town in MA to work on her writing. While there, she falls for a local, Van, and he is just as smitten with her. As difficult and awkward as it is as times, she tries her best to fit in with the friend group Van has had since high school, including Bailey, Van’s on again off again situationship. There has never been any great love between Van and Bailey, but the group implodes as they all find out that Bailey is pregnant with Van’s baby. Caroline takes it in stride, since it happened before she met Van, but it becomes clear that impending fatherhood will change their relationship. 📖

I thought this book was funny, smart, and relatable. We’ve all been a Caroline looking at a Bailey and been utterly confused about any similarities.

Ultimately this book is about friendship, marriage, and motherhood and I think anyone could relate to the women in this friend group in some way.

Have you read this one? How are you celebrating the end of summer? by @linzlibrary

Something a little different to encourage all of us who are worn out from spending our days back in the classroom this month.
When my daughter started 1st grade she was strong in math but was not a confident reader. She wanted to play and practice math at home but would not even try to read aloud with me outside of homework. Until she brought this book @bjnovak home from the school library. This seemingly silly little book gave her the JOY of reading. She giggled endlessly while reading words like “boo boo butt” and “glug glug glug my face is a bug”. She checked it out again and again, week after week. And with the love for reading established and a great teacher building on that - she grew so much and is now so proud of being a reader.

I hope all of us book loving educators have an amazing school year 🍎 filled with making connections and helping students grow. And if you don’t have this book in your class library, maybe get a copy for your shelf. by @linzlibrary

I’m feeling 🍰42🍰!
For my birthday I’m posting my best read of 2026 so far. The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett is perfection. An engrossing story, women taking care of things when times get tough, and so.much.humor! The only thing I would’ve loved more is if an epilogue had been included.

If this is on your radar, you need to go ahead and get it. Absolutely 5⭐️+++ taken in Kentucky by @linzlibrary
