For 10 seasons, Lionsbridge FC has brought the Virginia Peninsula together through soccer. Now, as we turn the page to the next chapter, we want you to help decide what it looks like.

Inspired by the bridge that gave our club its name, each 2027 home kit option carries a piece of the Lionsbridge story — from the 10th season to the four stone guardians and the rallying cry that has carried us forward:

Lionsbridge proudly announces that Fernando Zuniga will continue as an assistant coach in 2027, his tenth season with the club. (@nando4)

Fernando’s history with Lionsbridge dates back to the club's founding. He has been a member of the coaching staff every season since the inaugural 2018 campaign.

Fernando has helped Lionsbridge win multiple Chesapeake Division championships and USL League Two playoff berths.

He is also the head women’s soccer coach at NCAA Division II Chowan University, where he is in his ninth year leading the program. Fernando has guided Chowan to eight consecutive Conference Carolinas tournament appearances and his players have received numerous All-Conference and All-Region honors.

Fernando’s experience, loyalty and institutional knowledge have made him a trusted presence for generations of Lionsbridge players. by @lionsbridgefc

Jamie Gunderson’s connection to Lionsbridge dates back to day one. A starter on the inaugural 2018 team, and, since 2021, as a member of the coaching staff.

Jamie made 31 appearances as a Lionsbridge player from 2018 through 2022. As a coach, he has helped the club win multiple Chesapeake Division championships and USL League Two playoff berths.

Jamie is also the wildly successful head women’s soccer coach at Christopher Newport University, where he has led the Captains to NCAA Tournaments in each of his five seasons, a national championship, had an NCAA-record 84-match unbeaten run and owns a staggering career record of 93 wins, 4 losses, and 12 draws entering the 2026 season.

Lionsbridge proudly announces that Rich Dearle will continue as goalkeeper coach in 2027. (@rdearle96)

Rich's history with Lionsbridge dates back to 2019, first as a player, then as a member of the first team coaching staff and the Lionsbridge Academy.

Dearle started 18 games as Lionsbridge's goalkeeper in 2019 and 2020 before playing professionally in Australia. He returned in 2024 as a member of the coaching staff and has been a key part of multiple Chesapeake Division championship and USL League Two playoff teams.

A native of Nottingham, England, Rich coaches at NCAA Division II Chowan University. He will also lead Lionsbridge Soccer School in spring 2027.

From his work with the first team to developing young players in our community, Rich brings specialized expertise and a deep understanding of what it means to represent Lionsbridge. by @lionsbridgefc

A championship winning coach is joining the Bridge! Lionsbridge welcomes Matthew Caley (@matt_caley) to Josh Spencer’s coaching staff for the 2027 season.

Caley serves as associate head coach with Old Dominion University’s women’s program. Before arriving at ODU, he helped lead ULM to an unbeaten Sun Belt season and the 2025 Sun Belt championship during a tenure that produced some of the best seasons in program history.

A native of Chelmsford, England, Caley played at Drury University in Missouri before beginning his coaching career in 2017. He brings championship experience, a strong player development background, an extensive recruiting network and another direct connection to the soccer community in Hampton Roads.

The best football jerseys reflect the club and the community that wear them.

Lionsbridge FC is proud to announce a new apparel partnership with hummel beginning with the 2027 season.

The iconic hummel chevrons will be worn by our USL League Two team and Lionsbridge Academy, with custom designs created in collaboration with the hummel PRO Design Studio.

Founded in 1923, hummel brings more than a century of football heritage to the Virginia Peninsula and a reputation for creating apparel that draws out what makes each club distinctive.

In America, you can see it in two of the country’s most creative and recognizable soccer clubs: Forward Madison and Portland Hearts of Pine.

In Europe, hummel outfits Sunderland AFC, Real Betis and Vitória SC. Sunderland’s shirts reflect the inseparable bond between club and city. Betis wears the joy, craziness and culture of Andalusia. Vitória’s black and white carries the defiant heart and soul of Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal.

Across those partnerships, the common thread isn’t a particular look. It is hummel’s ability to understand what makes a club distinctive and translate it into design its supporters are deeply proud to wear.

Now that same creative attention comes to us. As we enter our 10th season, we believe hummel will help Lionsbridge look more like Lionsbridge than ever before.

And while the look may change, one Lionsbridge tradition will not. This fall, we will once again ask YOU — our supporters — to choose the season ticket jersey Lionsbridge will wear in 2027.

We can’t wait to show you what we’re creating together.

Congratulations to Santiago Hoyos Lopez, who has been named the USL League Two Chesapeake Division Player of the Year!

From his first appearance in a Lionsbridge shirt, Hoyos made his mark — becoming a difference-maker in front of goal and helping lead the Bridge through an unforgettable season.

His outstanding campaign has now earned him two of the league’s top honors: Chesapeake Division Player of the Year and Eastern Conference Team of the Year.

What a season.
