We swear we didn’t plan the matching outfits Friday. We also swear we didn’t plan to sell out of cassettes this fast, but here we are. Order yours from @violethourtransmissions before they’re gone too.

Our second release for this week is VHT86: Lips of Kohl - Please…Bury Me.

I am so delighted to welcome these Pennsylvania female-fronted deathrock darlings to Violet Hour Transmissions! Powerful vocals, hard rock/heavy metal riffs, and rugged punk rock bones make this an engaging and fun entry. This young band shows quite a lot of promise and were chosen as a staff pick for Punk News this year (https://www.punknews.org/review/18132/lips-of-kohl-please-bury-me-ep).

Because of the call to action this Friday for a nationwide-strike, the releases this week will come out on Saturday rather than Friday - so catch this one on January 31st. Full-color J-card with lyrics, full-body printed on a transparent purple shell, 20 copies. Tapes in hand, will ship promptly.

Please support them directly at lipsofkohl.bandcamp.com! by @lipsofkohl

🖤 4 stars + Staff Pick from @punknews

“Please… Bury Me trucks in the goth and metal… A bit of meanness is necessary for a band like this and they nail it.”

@johngofpunknews says we “may very well have THE deathrock album of 2026.”

Please… Bury Me EP - out now 💋🖤

Get it on our Bandcamp (link in bio)

🌒 When night falls this evening, the veil lifts, and with it comes our first anniversary.

To commemorate, we’re summoning our debut EP from the depths, now available at lipsofkohl.bandcamp.com.

10 shows. 2 shirts. Countless Warheads. Endless rehearsals. And, of course, one wicked sock auction for a cause close to our (blackened) hearts. What a hell of a year it’s been and what an honor to conjure noise and mayhem with (and for) all of you.

But beware, the path ahead winds through darker alleys and stranger dreams. Stay close, and keep your lanterns lit. Year two promises new rituals, eerie surprises, and perhaps a few ghosts of songs yet unheard.

With love and mischief,
Lips of Kohl
