I firmly believe there is a clear line of demarcation between cute fan boy and creepy stalker, and that I am solidly planted on the correct side.

I was told to pick up one of these shirts because it was now a collector's item as if it being a cool shirt wasn't enough to justify picking it up. I hope it doesn't lose its rate collector's item status due to me wearing it.

Hey all of you @thedroogettes fans. This is a 2-song lathe-cut ep from the other/former(?) band of the new lead singer. You might know her from her time on the mic for @the_end_a.d as well.

These little collector's items are limited to 20 hand numbered copies and come with a Kohl eye liner pencil. (I couldn't resist buying a couple extra when I went back to them for a shirt).

I have it on good authority that The Droogettes are in the studio as we speak recording tracks for their new album, which will be the first full length album with the new vocalist.

Our second release for this week is VHT86: Lips of Kohl - Please…Bury Me.

I am so delighted to welcome these Pennsylvania female-fronted deathrock darlings to Violet Hour Transmissions! Powerful vocals, hard rock/heavy metal riffs, and rugged punk rock bones make this an engaging and fun entry. This young band shows quite a lot of promise and were chosen as a staff pick for Punk News this year (https://www.punknews.org/review/18132/lips-of-kohl-please-bury-me-ep).

Because of the call to action this Friday for a nationwide-strike, the releases this week will come out on Saturday rather than Friday - so catch this one on January 31st. Full-color J-card with lyrics, full-body printed on a transparent purple shell, 20 copies. Tapes in hand, will ship promptly.

Please support them directly at lipsofkohl.bandcamp.com!

Recent cover artwork I did for @the.falling.out ‘s new 8 song cassette “Don’t” (on @dummestrecords ) The tunes sounds like The Raveonettes on a double date with The Cramps, perfect for fans of fuzzed out Phil Spector style 60s garage rock.
.
The cassette drops this Friday, January 30th, with the release party taking place at @centuryphila Bar in Philly that same night. Mighty Joe Castro and @thegravamen are on the bill as well as @civil_rats and @lipsofkohl (swipe for details)
.
Too modern for this weird little cassette revival? Not down for analog sound? No worries- the EP will be available for download via Bandcamp as well. Happy listening.
