🎤CHUNKY - Hailing from the musical metropolis that is Manchester, @mcrchunky continues to be one of the hardest working MC/DJ/Producers in the game.

Chunky is a proud Mancunian with roots in Zimbabwe (having relocated from there as a child), helping explain his worldly, open-minded, outlook on life. Onstage, this translates into a rare ability to work any crowd into a frenzy, whilst handling everything from the latest, bass-heavy cuts to live jazz with consummate ease.

Chunky’s voice has been the sound of the UK underground for more than a decade. As an MC, he’s a magnetic presence with an immaculate pen game. His catchy turns of phrase made him a standout fixture at @swamp81, @hessleaudio, @hoya_hoya and Hit & Run parties, forming a symbiotic partnership with affiliates such as Loefah, Zed Bias, Dub Phizix, Biome, @chimpomcr, Pearson Sound and Jonny Dub. As rapper and producer, he’s a multi-headed hydra chomping into hip hop and grime with the same ease as drum ‘n’ bass and leftfield techno.

Recent releases such as ‘My Corner’ alongside long-time collaborator Chimpo, and standout tunes ‘Meh’ and ‘GNG’ from his latest album ‘Somebody’s Child’, alongside our own experiences in the crowd during his unmistakable sound and energy at @outlookfestival, made him a long-time hero for getting onto a @liquidfunktiondnb lineup - and we’ve finally made it happen! Had an absolute blast last weekend seeing the King @dillinjavalve at Mash House courtesy of @disorder.edi and @harryjackson_21 👏

Crowd energy was on point and banging music throughout with premium hosting from @verbivoreuk

Apparently this was 6 years ago?! Mad how time flies. Pretty wild night with @_spectrasoul_ who made it through on one of the only flights to land in Edinburgh due to the beast from the east snow storms.

Spectrasoul were always up there with our favourite artists so it was a pleasure to book them when we did for their ‘How We Live’ album tour 👌

Also had the @electrikalsoundsystem rig in @mashhouse for this one… oofty! the clip doesn’t do it justice but good lord the bass could’ve blown the storm away 💨 maybe it did?

Introducing our special guest for this Saturdays shindig, we are pleased to welcome @harryjackson_21 !

Harry’s been causing a stir on the cowgate with his dedication to the dnb sound, playing regular sets at @midnightbass_edi and hosting his own events with @disorder.edi

We’ve been wanting to get him booked in as a guest dj for a while so when we decided on this Saturday being the fourth instalment of our ‘chronology’ history of drum and bass sessions, he seemed an obvious choice.

Harry will be bringing an ‘influences set’ this Saturday as a way to showcase some of the foundations of his own sound and style and to tip the hat to those that came before with his favourite selections from the length and breadth of dnb/jungle, sure to get the place shaking 🔊

Harry first came across the genre when he was 13 or 14 and instantly fell in love. He’s been mixing for the last five years and first got his first gig 2 years ago when he moved to Edi and @skillis___ gave him the call up 👊

His DJing has gone from strength to strength as has his own night @disorder.edi which is focussed on pushing the underground and headsier sides of dnb.

For his set with us this Saturday, expect dirty rollers and Bristol bass a plenty with releases from the likes of the sofa sound, cia and overview imprints.
