Someone asked me recently if I had any live recordings from my time in Hedwig and the Angry Inch (I do).

It got me thinking about sharing a few special moments here — pulled from the vault —
performances, behind-the-scenes, Broadway, TV/film, voiceover, outtakes…
the moments that remind me why I love this work so much.

So here’s one of them.

“The Nearness of You” 🎵
A 1938 jazz standard by Hoagy Carmichael & Ned Washington,
sung with my dear friend @mlwooley at the keys for his LA show Triple Threat.

🎮 Voice & Motion Capture: Me as “Jessica LeClerk” — Red Dead Redemption 2 (From the Vault, Week 5)

One of the reasons I became an actor was the chance to disappear into someone entirely different —
voice, dialect, inner life. I’m a girl from the suburbs of Chicago, not a Southern woman in the late-1800s American West.

Which made playing her SO fun.

This was the quietest, most emotionally restrained scene I performed in the entire game.

No gunfire. No shouting. Just stillness, emotion, and consequence.

Fun Fact: Doing the Motion Capture performance on the soundstage was my favorite part 😉
