Grand opening! Grand River Periodontics has a new home! 🎉

Congratulations to Dr. Rachel Sinacola and her team on the opening of their beautiful new location off the East Beltline in Grand Rapids!

Getting to this point has been quite the journey! We spent a couple of years discussing, planning, and exploring several different scenarios before ultimately finding the right fit in this incredible space next to Third Coast Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. It’s exciting to see everything come together and watch a vision that started years ago become a reality!

Dr. Sinacola has taken a leap of faith that not everyone is willing to take, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the trust she’s placed in me throughout this entire process. Her energy is contagious, and she’s the kind of person you want in your corner. It’s been a pleasure partnering with her to bring this vision to life!

The new space perfectly captures the warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere that Dr. Sinacola and her team provide their patients every day. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the practice, the staff, and the patients in this next chapter!

Today would be/is my parents 54th wedding Anniversary. We honor their love and commitment to each other that really went for over 60 years! The day will be filled with memories of dad buying mom roses, 1 for every year and typically a gift card to a spa for her. He was rather predictable but we loved him for it. Today along side a few family and friends my Mom, sister and I placed my Dad in his final resting place. My mom decided the best place for him and her would be back in our hometown of Charlotte Michigan.
It was perfect. Perfect Day. Perfect people.
My mom wrote a beautiful letter to my dad she shared with all of us. To think they were together for over 53 years and shared almost 20,000 dinners together is a love and life that is hard to imagine. It’s been 3.5 months since he went to be with Jesus, his parents and two brothers. I’m so glad they’re all together but so sad he’s not here.

March 27, 2026 started my 12 months of “firsts” without you.

First Easter.

Your first birthday.

First Mother’s Day.

The first time Evie played flag football—you would have loved watching her. I think we may have found her jam.

And now, my first Father’s Day without you.

Each first is another reminder of how much I miss you and how much of you is missing from these moments.

I still catch myself wanting to call you, to tell you what’s going on, and to hear your voice one more time.

We’re carrying you with us through every milestone, every memory, and every story we share.

I hope you know how deeply you are loved and how profoundly you are missed.

Happy Father’s Day in heaven, Dad.
