For the past couple of years I've attended the Charter Trading Standards Institute's annual conference on behalf of @onlynaturaldiamonds. During three days, Trading Standards officers, policymakers, and regulators from across the UK come together to discuss the importance of consumer protection.

Consumer confidence is built on transparency. As part of the Natural Diamond Council's ongoing commitment to protecting consumers and supporting industry best practice, I had the opportunity to advocate for clear and accurate product disclosure, greater adoption of diamond verification instruments, and active enforcement by government authorities.

It's a real pleasure to meet consumer protection professionals who have an immense professional expertise and dedicate their time to this important topic! by @lisalevinson

This storied Imperial Easter Egg that went missing for decades has found a new home just ahead of the winter season. In a full circle moment it’s been purchased by @wartski1865 who previously owned the Winter Egg a century ago. The £22.9m record breaking sales price is a testament to the love of Fabergé’s old-world romance that is so perfectly captured in this museum level masterpiece, Fabergé’s most diamond centric of all Imperial Easter Eggs. There’s something very special about tiaras, it’s jewellery boiled down to its emotive essence and with a touch of impracticality. It’s the ultimate occasion piece worn only to state banquets and gala receptions. That’s why it felt extra special to try on the Airlie tiara. There’s nothing that can make you feel quite as glamorous as an incredibly valuable one-of-a-kind diamond tiara. This beautiful tiara is being auctioned tomorrow by @lyonandturnbull along with a gorgeous collection of fine and high jewellery. Twinning! Found my twin ring yesterday at a press event hosted by @wearepruk at @langansbrasserie . There was a fellow Broken Star ring from @lebrusanstudio . Set in 14K recycled gold are splinters and shards of diamonds. Arabel shows that even the broken pieces of diamonds are stars in their own right. I’ve been wearing the ring almost daily since Christmas and I can’t stop touching its soft surface and look at the diamonds that are different in shape, colour and how they are set. Arabel calls it ‘anarchy setting’. It’s difficult to decipher a set structure or pattern to the placement of diamonds, yet it’s perfectly balanced and peaceful to the eye. That is kind of the point of diamonds. They are all different, but they still make perfect sense when you find your right one. Last week’s news of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement ring made sense in the same way. It’s a stunning diamond of great value but it can’t be pinpointed through a standardised grading process. It might be anarchical when you focus on the details but zoom out and there is harmony. Thank you Arabel for creating such a beauty. This is the Super Bowl of the diamond world! Earlier today I met with the team at @harrietkelsall to speak about the value of natural diamonds and one of the topics we discussed was cultural relevance. Since the dawn of humanity, people have been drawn to jewellery as adornment and expression. Few things both tie us so closely together and express our individuality as jewellery can do. We are attracted to the glister of diamonds and want to feel closer to each other and nature through the way we wear them. The questions is usually not about why we are attracted to diamonds, but to which cultural expression we associate them with. The image I showed earlier today was of Taylor Swift's new album cover and the white and champagne coloured diamonds in the bracelet by @stephaniegottlieb. A few hours later and @taylorswift and @killatrav is putting a spotlight on the talented independent jewellery designer Kindred Lubeck @artifexfine. The choice of an antique cut diamond, a jewel with a journey and history, goes well with Taylor Swift's passion for story telling and experience. This diamond could have hundreds of stories and human experiences reflected in its core. It's to me deeply meaningful to choose a contemporary independent designer to add a new chapter, or era, to an antique preloved diamond. by @lisalevinson

I was born and raised in Sweden and for the first time since starting out in the diamond industry I got to work in my home town Stockholm last month! Being back in Sweden allowed me to relax—to me it’s such a familiar atmosphere and it makes day to day work almost meditative. Growing up in a compromise and consensus culture you don’t realise its uniqueness until you leave. I do think my wonderful experience was heavily, if not completely, coloured by working with two fantastic women—Lena, CEO, @smyckenochklockor and Carolina, President, @gemmologiska. I cannot thank you enough for giving me such a joyous experience! by @lisalevinson

If you’re stopping by @vamuseum to see the @cartier exhibition don’t miss out on the last week of The Great Mughals showcase where amongst the centuries old treasures there are three diamonds on display. The three gems are dated back to 1600-1700 or earlier and they display the shape and cut of their times which is notably different to today’s. In an exceptional showcase of craftsmanship we find a portrait cut 56.7 carat fancy light pink diamond. This diamond cut was the favoured one of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan which explains its presence in this exhibition. As you can see from the video the diamond is wafer thin, measuring only 3 millimetres in depth. The other two diamonds, a 28.3 carats yellow and a 24.8 carat, are similarly unique in their shape and cut, more focused on bringing out lustre than brilliance and uniformity. Despite the uniqueness of the three diamonds, the main piece is the spinel. Four weeks ago, @onlynaturaldiamonds organised an event at the iconic Canada House on Trafalgar Square together with High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom and the Government of Northwest Territories to highlight Canada’s rich diamond heritage.

We had four wonderful speakers—two of whom flew in from Canada—Emmy nominated actress Lily James, @diamondsdecanada and former Councilor for the Yellowknives Dene First Nation Kateri Rose Lynn, CEO of Tlicho Investment Paul Gruner, and Managing Director of @boodles Jody Wainwright, along with our fantastic moderator @cosgravebronwyn.

There were eight jewellers and diamantaires exhibiting an impressive selection of Canadian diamonds and diamond jewellery—@dries_criel, @boodles, @crownoflightdiamond, @diamondsdecanada, @diacorediamonds, @nwtdiamondcentre, @misfitdiamonds, @gemporia and @shininglightawards by @debeersgroup.
