The morning of the wedding 🤍 Getting ready together with the bridal party, sharing the excitement, and watching all the little details come together. There’s something so sweet about having that time together before the day begins.

So many of you asked if the reception was on the street outside Taylor’s childhood home and yes! They closed the block, put up the tents, and turned the whole street into the most magical South Philly wedding. Still not over it 🤍✨ such an epic night !

Tonight, chatting with Uncle Jimmy, I learned a little bit more about how my grandpop started Jim’s Ice House. I knew about the water ice, but I never knew how one thing kept leading to the next: water ice, then hot dogs, then needing ice for the hot dog truck and my grandpop finding a way to make it happen. One idea turned into another, and eventually, an ice house. How cool is that?

I grew up around Jim’s Ice House. Aunt Mary worked at the front desk, and Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Joey were always there. When a storm was coming, all the cousins would go get bags of ice. So many memories are wrapped up in that place. ❤️

Here’s a little reminder to sit down and ask your mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, your family and ask about their lives and the stories that came before you. I’m so glad I got to hear this one.

My grandpop was a legend. 🧊❤️

Grandma Murph’s candy apple tradition continues! 🍎❤️
Every year, throughout October only, she’d make 500–600 candy apples a day at our family business, Jim’s Ice aka “the Ice House.”

I remember when I was little I would go to the Ice House helping her wrap the apples. She always told me they were too hot for me to dip… though sometimes she’d let me try anyway. My grandma had many family traditions but this is one of my favorites and I love that my family is continuing her legacy!

Dropping off my dad’s homemade long hots for Aunt Betty and Cousin Anthony! 🇮🇹

My dad jars his own long hots, beets, and a few other things and always shares them with family.

and of course, we jarred tomatoes that’s a given 🤌🏼
