I'm pleased to be part of RISD Emerging at Featherstone Center for the Arts on Martha's Vineyard. Curated by RISD President Crystal Williams and Director of Exhibitions Mark Moscone, the exhibition brings together the work of recent RISD graduates, reflecting a wide range of practices and perspectives. I'll be showing work from Vital Friction, an ongoing exploration of the dialogue between blown glass and honeycomb calcite, where form emerges through the inherent qualities and relationships of materials. Opening July 26 in the Francine Kelly Gallery. Afterimage traces the moment when color, light, and matter converge. Each vessel is mouth-blown in layered hues that drift through breath, heat, and gravity.
