Six years is a long time to be out of the restaurant industry. But in the case of @blackbriar that time gave @jimmypapadop and @twotonetimmy Anderson time to truly understand their roles in it and what they wanted to give back. All those emotions can be felt in the interior design by @karenherold and in the food and drinks. There’s a lovely synergy going here. Kudos to all and thanks @eater_chicago by @lisashames

Chicago has a lot of terrific Thai restaurants. @tarrachicago wants to add to the conversation with an elegant space that tells the stories of the country’s unique regions and the ingredients and dishes that come from them. Downstairs @surachicago is a sultry surprise with thoughtful and fun cocktails in a sophisticated setting. Thank you @eater_chicago by @lisashames

From the signage and merch to the wine selection and, oui, the food @chezpouletchicago is such a beautiful team effort with so much soul and love. Oh and that @mindysbakery bread! Come for the deeply flavorful rotisserie chicken and gussied up sides and stay for the bienvenue vibe. Fowl play indeed! #sorrynotsorry by @lisashames

There is so much representation and community at the soon-to-open @soulandsmoke flagship restaurant. Oh and tasty BBQ and dishes that push the boundaries of a bbq restaurant. So many local artists on the walls. Bravo @chefdandrecarter and @heatherbublick and thanks @eater_chicago by @lisashames

Sure @theoriginalrainbowcone iconic cone is delicious. But equally lovely is all the memories attached to this 100-year-old treat. Third-generation owner Lynn Sapp has the best stories to tell! So loved celebrating it in print @chicagosuntimes and on the radio @wbezchicago Thank you @sosassee for calming my radio nerves. Now go get a Rainbow Cone! by @lisashames
