It’s been a year since @tonyfitzpatrick9 left us and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. To say that Tony was an incredible human being would be an understatement. His generosity was downright overwhelming at times. He brought people together like no one I’ve ever met. He was fiercely loyal to those closest to him and went out of his way to support those around him always. Tony would have loved knowing that his family and friends got together tonight to laugh, cry and tell hilarious stories in his honor. There’ll never be another Tony Fitzpatrick.

Seven years in, and still making the list!

@tzucochicago has once again been named one of @eater_chicago Best Restaurants in River North.

A recognition of a concept that continues to evolve while staying rooted in Chef Carlos Gaytán’s story, his Mexican heritage, and the cuisine that has defined Tzuco from the beginning.

Proud to see Tzuco continue to earn its place in Chicago’s dining scene!

A rescue dog, some serious Chicago restaurant pedigree and one very special new café. 🐾

Dewey’s Café is officially open in Roscoe Village, and Eater has the exclusive first look.

Riley Brown and Hannah Grossman met while opening Monteverde and have been building a life together in Chicago hospitality ever since. Riley later rose to chef de cuisine at two Michelin-starred Oriole, while Hannah is a certified sommelier with more than a decade of restaurant and wine experience.

Named for their beloved rescue chihuahua, @deweys_cafe is rooted in what he taught them about love, care and patience. That spirit runs through a seasonal, plant-focused menu built around regional growers, minimal waste and relationships with local makers including @metriccoffee, @volitionteaco, @beacondoughnuts, @middle__brow, and @hopewellbrewing.

That same warmth carries through every visual detail. A special nod to @sirenbettydesign, who brought it into the interiors, and @danpolyak, who carried it through the branding.

This has been a long time coming. We’ve poured ourselves into every detail of this restaurant, and after years of dreaming, planning, building, rebuilding, and pushing forward, we’re finally ready to open the doors.

Macerelli’s was spectacular. Nostalgic Italian American flavors that transported the Monday Night Foodball crew straight back to Dave Andrews’ childhood kitchen. Beans and Greens, Baked Rigatoni, and The Meatball—absolute perfection. Every dish felt like coming home. Dave, you did your Bugga proud.
