I recently got to interview Edward Thomas on his journey from yacht crew to multiple business owner in the luxury wellness industry.

It was such an interesting conversation and really reminded me of some of the challenges I have faced in my role at @dsnmltd over the last 18 years and more recently with @navigatx

It’s easy to get distracted by what look like financial opportunities but staying true to the core values that you started out with, is in my eyes imperative to keeping integrity in your company… even though that can be hard sometimes!

While standard watch handovers cover most bases as a matter of routine, certain crucial details can still slip through the cracks.

In this clip, Master Mariner Captain George Mills points out that while position, speed, and surrounding traffic are routinely discussed, new navigational warnings are frequently overlooked during watch changes. George points out that newly received navigational alerts can easily be overlooked during a watch change if they aren't explicitly highlighted. Keeping handovers thorough and ensuring all fresh warnings are actively passed along is key to maintaining seamless situational awareness across watches.

Thank you, @liscey, for welcoming Kaly and me to your women's networking breakfast at @monacoyachtshow_official.

Showing up with a toddler wasn’t easy, but it felt like an important step back into yachting after my time as Project Manager at the @clusteryachtingmonaco.

I came with Kindly Advise, new ideas and plans to build work that lets me be both a present mum and a professional.

Please don’t assume a mother with her child has nothing to offer — sometimes she’s simply finding a way to keep moving forward. So next time, come up!

What an incredible turnout! 🇲🇨✨

We have been completely blown away by the response to our Women in Yachting breakfast in Monaco. Over 100 women from across the superyacht industry joined us ans @p3_marine for coffee! ☕️⚓️

It still blows our minds that what once started as a small group of friends supporting each other has turned into a WhatsApp group of over 270 women—providing ongoing support, a space to connect, share advice, and collaborate.

The community has even expanded into two active regional branches in the South of France and Palma!

A massive thank you to all the women who came along. Watching this network grow and seeing these amazing women come together is truly inspiring.

Day three of the @monacoyachtshow_official!
It has been an incredible couple of days for the @dsnmltd team. We’ve had a fantastic time meeting with clients old and new and catching up with so many familiar faces.

Modern bridges are packed with advanced technology. But which critical tools are being underutilised by crew?

George points out that these vital instruments are frequently left on default settings or ignored altogether. Likewise, keeping NAVTEX properly configured ensures bridge teams receive crucial, real-time navigational and weather warnings rather than treating it as background noise.
