This year I committed to creating mostly a flower a day to experiment with materials- collage, watercolor, gouache, colored pencils and ink. Some days are better than others. Some I spent more time on than others. It’s somewhat cringey becoming something when my taste is better than my skill- the 10,000 hours is true. I have a ways to go and I keep finding what I like and get closer to developing a style. And I remain curious and open to what comes out of cultivating a daily art practice. This reflects the past six months and I’m committed to keep improving and experimenting. I am looking forward to sharing where this will go. 🌸❤️ by @lisettesacks

Working with Jacklyn and Hilary is easy in the way things are when you’re around good people. All ideas are so smart and so so creative, and always useful.
I’m grateful to live in a community with these women — two kind & thoughtful powerhouses who have such great ideas, keep their word, make things happen, make it fun along the way and exceed expectations. It’s rare and it’s worth holding onto.

I want to start a book club. I miss talking about all the things i love. I miss conspiring and dreaming with all my friends scattered all over the world. i wish we all lived near each other because all of you would love each other. I wish we all could work together even- some of us do. I think we’re all as good as our networks and I know we could benefit from getting to know each other better than from social media interactions. If you’re into design and leadership and punk rock and art and hip hop and feminism and doing good and plants and traveling and shoes and being kind and doing business and being a good part of a family and being a good citizen and or any one of these topics, then DM me.
