6 months have passed.

I missed IAPLC this year as this setup started a little late, but I’ve enjoyed every step of making this project.

It’s still not fully completed yet, but as the scape evolves, it transforms day by day, week by week, and month by month — and that process is really enjoyable.

Enjoy the process, and patience is always the key to this beautiful hobby.

The algae scraping session today is less boring with a little fun from @inkjoy_frame 😁

This is my first time trying an e-ink photo frame, and I love how the photos look almost like real prints on matte paper.🖼️

Hornwort is one of those simple aquarium plants that deserves more love 🌿

No substrate, no special lighting, and CO₂ is optional.

I like using it in newly set up tanks because it grows fast and helps absorb excess nutrients during the early stage.

Simple, classic, and surprisingly useful.🥰

We heard you. 🌿

Many of you asked if the modular surface skimmer part could be longer for taller tanks — so we made it.😊

The new longer skimmer module is now available for 16mm pipe size, which is commonly used with larger filters and taller tanks.

With this module, the total length from the top bend of the pipe to the bottom is around 30cm, making it more suitable for tanks with 45–60cm depth.📏

A small upgrade for a cleaner surface and a better fit. ✨

Testing the Terrestrial Plane T2 Pro Chiller on my 40L planted tank 🌿❄️🥶

Looks like a great little chiller for nano tanks and desktop setups — especially around 15–30L (smaller tanks are even better yo 😄).

❄️ TERRESTRIAL PLANE T2 Pro Chiller (for tanks up to 45L) 🌿

Thanks to @eastoceanaquatic for sending over the T2 chiller for testing 🙏 I have to say, it’s really compact and feels quite perfect for nano tanks.❄️

I tested it on my 40L planted tank (45×30×30 cm). The water temperature dropped from 29.5°C to 26.5°C in about 2 hours, which is quite impressive. In Singapore’s climate, I would usually keep my planted tanks around 26–27°C, as going lower may cause condensation on the glass, and you probably don’t want that 😅

💕 Some things I like:

• Very small and compact design
• Quiet during operation
• Self-priming with internal pump — very convenient
• Clear and well-lit temperature display
• The inlet/outlet connections are quite cute 😅

⚙️Some areas for improvement:

• The chiller is best placed on one side only, as hot air is exhausted in a single direction. It’s recommended to keep about 3–5 cm clearance from the tank for better airflow and cooling efficiency.
• The inlet/outlet fits 9 mm pipes (LitiAquaria compatible 😅) — I’m thinking of pairing it with a small pre-filter to create a mini filter + chiller combo, which could reduce clutter in the tank.

😊 Conclusion:

I think this chiller is great for nano tanks, especially desktop setups. Although it is rated for tanks up to 45L, it would probably perform best in the 15–30L range, where cooling is faster and more efficient. Smaller volume, faster results 😊

Looking forward to using this for my upcoming bee shrimp project... oh yeah! 🦐
