And that applies to our aquariums too! 🌱

Over time, algae and dirt can clog your CO₂ diffuser and affect bubble distribution. Here’s how I clean mine:

🌿 My Cleaning Process:
1. Soak the diffuser in 50% bleach + 50% tap water for 1 hour.
2. Rinse thoroughly under running water.
3. Soak again in fresh water treated with @enviroaquaria MicrobeLift Xtreme water conditioner* to remove all chlorine and detoxify - I trust it to make the water 100% safe.

*⚠️ Important:* Never mix bleach with other chemicals. Make sure zero bleach residue remains before putting it back in your tank.

🌿 Planting tissue culture plants from @greenwateraquascapes 💚

I’m using Mini Hair Grass and Lobelia cardinalis for the midground. 🌱

✅ Remove the gel and rinse the plants gently. 🌿 Separate into smaller portions and plant carefully. 🐌 Tissue culture plants are generally algae-free and pest-snail-free.

Be patient, give them time to grow, and watch your aquascape flourish! 🌱✨

The ready-to-start hardscape in the 3N! I decided on a classic NA layout. It consists of a single driftwood root and lava rocks. The entire hardscape was glued together into a single piece (my favorite method).

Soil was used in the background, and the light-colored sand in the foreground is meant to create a contrast with the dark hardscape.

But before I set up this tank, I’d like to rescape the 5S first.

Before adding new plants, I always clean them in fresh water, remove the bigger emersed leaves and keep them floating in my aquarium for 2 days. After that, I start planting.

For this setup, I'm using AR Mini and S. Repens from @greenwateraquascapes — always healthy and fresh!

Final touches for my new high-tech setup! A few midground plants were missing and I got them from @greenwateraquascapes — as always, healthy, beautiful, and completely algae & pest-snail free. Quality is always top-notch!

For this layout I'm going to use:
- S. repens
- Lobelia cardinalis
- AR Mini
- Hair Grass

the final photos of this aquascape are giving me big time scaper’s remorse 😅

i kind of just threw a bunch of plants in the tank because i wanted to try some new species and just enjoy growing plants, and i got frustrated with the slight algae issues and lack of structure.

now that i look back at it after rescaping, i realize how beautiful it was after only 2 months. i’ll definitely try another no-hardscape tank like this, but for now ill enjoy the new layout which i’m excited to share more about.

Here is the 3N, the little buddy of the 5N. I like the setup with these two tanks next to each other.

Now I am preparing the hardscape for the 3N, then I can go for a dark-start.
