POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
This is how I share my story.

Some details may be missing, and some parts are too painful to relive, but it’s important to me that Jaden’s life is remembered.

He was deeply wanted, already loved, and he made a mark on my heart from the very beginning.

He is so loved.

He is so missed.

And he will always be a part of who I am and everything I do. 🤍 by @littlebeanfoundation

Before my son had a name, he had a nickname.
I called him “Little Bean”.
Sometimes Bean. Sometimes Beanie.

It was how I spoke to him, how I loved him, long before the world ever knew him as Jaden. And I know so many parents can relate, calling their babies “my little bean” as they grow, unseen but deeply loved.

On April 8th, 2021, I lost my son, Jaden, at 17 weeks and 3 days due to a rupture in my cervix causing preterm labour..

When I held him in my arms, I whispered “Little Bean Foundation”. In that moment, I made him a promise that I would build something in his name, something rooted in love, something that would make him proud.

Through my grief, I learned how isolating pregnancy and infant loss can be, how heavy silence can be, and how many families are left navigating unimaginable loss without support. What began as survival became purpose.

Little Bean Foundation came to fruition to honour Jaden, to keep that promise, and to create the kind of support I once needed myself.

This foundation exists to support families navigating grief, pregnancy, and infant loss; to create spaces where love and remembrance are spoken out loud; and to ensure that no baby’s life is minimized by the length of time they were here.

Jaden’s life did not end in loss…it began a legacy.
Little Bean Foundation stands as living proof that love is stronger than grief, that purpose can rise from pain, and that even the smallest lives can leave the deepest impact.

This is how I honour my son. This is how I keep my promise. This is how his love continues to grow.

Thank you all so much for being here 🌱🤍 taken in Montreal, Quebec by @littlebeanfoundation

📣 Please drop some blue hearts in the comments for my baby boy “💙” 📣

I am so honoured and so lucky to have been able to share my story on @freegxrlmedia platform. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH. For every woman and man who has ever lost a child, know that you have a voice and be willing to use it every chance that you get. It’s funny because I constantly get asked why I am so consistent with talking about my son when I barely knew him… I knew him. I met him. I held him. I spoke to him every day that he was here and I still speak to him. He couldn’t be here but I am, so I will make sure that YOU know of him too. This is for Jaden and for every single little bean who’s name isn’t spoken as often as it should. This is me. This is Jaden. This is our story. This is Little Bean Foundation 🤍

“Would you believe that 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage? How did I become part of the statistic?”

She also told the doctor(s) that she was in A LOT of pain… and was dismissed. After losing her son at birth, @iamoneishalewis started the @littlebeanfoundation to bring awareness to pregnancy and infant loss, educate women and men on their bodies, and allocate funds to alleviate some of the burden that comes after the loss of a child.

Every year on October 15, families around the world come together for the Wave of Light, an international remembrance event honouring babies who have died during pregnancy, at birth, or in infancy.

At 7 PM local time, light a candle and let it shine for at least one hour. As each time zone reaches 7 PM, a wave of light travels around the world, uniting families in love and remembrance. 🕯️🌎

Tonight, we remember the babies we held and the babies we never got to bring home. The names we whisper, the dreams we carry, and the little lives that changed us forever.

To every family remembering a baby tonight: your baby matters, your grief matters, and your love will always have a place in this world.

Light a candle. Say their name. Share their story. Keep their memory alive. 🦋 by @littlebeanfoundation

✨ Chapter 31. ✨

Thirty-one.

Happy 5th birthday to Little Bean Foundation! 🦋

Another year older, a little wiser, and a little more protective of the person I am becoming.
If the past few years have taught me anything, it’s that life can change in ways you never expect. You can make plans, picture your future, and believe you know what your next chapter will look like, only for life to take you somewhere completely different.

I’ve experienced moments that changed me forever. I’ve had to find strength in places I didn’t know existed, make peace with things I may never fully understand, and learn how to keep moving forward while carrying things that not everyone can see.

I’ve learned that healing isn’t linear, growth isn’t always visible, and not every battle needs to be explained. Sometimes, the greatest progress happens quietly, behind the scenes, when you’re simply trying to find your way back to yourself.

At 31, I’m learning to give myself more grace. To protect my peace. To stop feeling the need to explain every decision, prove my worth, or make everyone understand my journey.

I’m learning that it’s okay to outgrow certain versions of yourself, certain expectations, and even certain dreams. Sometimes, making room for what’s meant for you requires letting go of what you thought your life would be.

I am proud of the woman who has made it here. The one who has loved deeply, felt deeply, lost deeply, and somehow continued to find beauty in the world. The one who keeps creating, dreaming, showing up, and finding reasons to believe that there is still so much good ahead.
I don’t have everything figured out, and maybe that’s okay. I am entering this new chapter with a heart that has been through a lot, a spirit that continues to persevere, and a hope that refuses to disappear.

Here’s to 31. To new beginnings, unexpected blessings, meaningful connections, quiet victories, genuine happiness, and a life that feels as beautiful on the inside as it may look on the outside.

May this be the year I stop simply surviving certain seasons of life and truly begin to enjoy the life I’m building. 🤍

Cheers to 31. 🥂✨ by @littlebeanfoundation

Happy Birthday to the Babies of October! 🦋🎂

To all the little ones born sleeping, born too soon, and those who left this world before we were ready to say goodbye, October holds space for you, too. 🤍

To the babies celebrating their birthdays in Heaven, you are remembered, you are loved, and you will always have a place in your families’ hearts. Your lives matter, your names deserve to be spoken, and your birthdays deserve to be acknowledged.

To the parents carrying both love and longing this month, we see you. Whether you’re celebrating your baby’s birthday with tears, lighting a candle, baking a cake, visiting a special place, or simply whispering their name into the quiet, there is no right or wrong way to honour them. 🕊️ by @littlebeanfoundation

🦋 STORIES OF A LITTLE BEAN: JADEN 🦋

Hi world, my name is Jaden JB- P. Lewis. 🦋

Well, that’s the name my mommy and daddy chose for me.

When my parents were talking about baby names, the name Jaden came up, and something about it just stuck with my mommy. She knew in her heart that it was the perfect name for me. Today, my name means everything to her.

When my mommy found out she was pregnant with me, she felt like the most incredible being in the world. The thought of carrying a life, growing me inside of her, and becoming my mommy meant more than words could ever explain.
She was excited about all of it. The fun, the love, the happiness, the ups and downs, and even the hard nights. She wanted to experience every part of motherhood with me. She dreamed of the life we would share, the memories we would make, and all the little moments she would get to experience as my mommy.

She was ready for it all. She was ready for me. 🤍

Although our story didn’t unfold the way my mommy had imagined, I was here. I existed. I was her son, her little boy, and a love that changed her life forever.

Today, butterflies, sunshine, and blue skies remind my mommy of me. She carries me with her in ways the world may not always see, and through the Little Bean Foundation, she has chosen to honour my life and help other little ones’ stories be told, too. Because I am more than the way my story ended.

I am the little boy my mommy dreamed of meeting. I am the son she carried, the baby she loved, and the life that made her a mommy.

And if there is one thing she wants you to do, it’s this:

Remember me. Period.
Remember that I was here. Remember that I existed. Remember that I was somebody’s son, somebody’s whole world, somebody’s little boy.
My mommy may not have gotten all the days she dreamed of with me, but she will spend a lifetime loving me.

My name is Jaden. I am my mommy’s Little Bean, and I will forever be a part of her. Thank you for reading 🦋🤍
