Morning Devotion 🙌🏾 was very lively!!! Loved the energy on this day. Their voices are so precious! 🥹 Normally I don't teach at this school on this day, but I decided to come in and play for devotion.

Right before this, the MC said "raise your hand if Ms. Owens is your teacher" and some toddlers I've never met before raised their hands 😂😂😂 cutest thing ever.

Really glad that I did this, because the next day (my teaching day) the kids waved when they saw me 🥹 and I even got a couple hugs?? This is the Day that the Lord has Made 😎🙌🏾🎻 by @littlelion.strings

What a beautiful thing when worlds collide! Thank you @daleam.music for inspiring childhood music educators to incorporate more Jamaican culture into our lessons 🇯🇲

Thank you to the string community in Jamaica for your overwhelming support of Little Lion Strings! We are bringing joy into these classrooms 🎻🦁🙌🏾💐If you haven't got your copy as yet, reach out by @littlelion.strings

"How did you get the idea for Little Lion Strings?" Funny you should ask.. my creativity comes from the creator of all things.. and I'd like to start this week by bringing glory to Him. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. One of the most recent things He strengthened me to do was create a book for beginner violinists 🎻🎉🎉

This book is the first of its kind. It pays homage to older generations of violin teachers in Jamaica. Each piece is a little nugget of our culture, from "Cheese Patty" to "Yes Now Spanish Town" to "Usain Bolt" and "Fi Mi Love"

Little Lion Strings is making a great difference in my classroom. My students are gravitating towards it, and it makes learning how to read music fun and easy.

If you have a niece, nephew, or god-child who needs an activity or skill.. encourage them to learn the violin with this book. Check out Music Mart and KaDON Music Enterprise to purchase your copy.
