We’ve always believed in running the miles, but the real question has always been: how else do we impact our city?

Every year, we identify organizations doing the heavy lifting in our Black communities and neighborhoods, and we step up to support them.

Through the Vinegar Hill Endurance Challenge, we are proud to present Heart & Soul Fitness and Soul of C’ville with $6,827.00 each to help them keep creating meaningful change right here in Charlottesville.

Thank you to everyone who ran, donated, and made this possible. This is what community looks like. by @littlez____

DUST HANDS OFF……Over $20,000 raised for The Vinegar Hill Endurance Challenge!

People said this challenge would be hard, people said you’re crazy for doing it.

Well guess what, we raised a significant amount of money while being crazy for our community. The route was ran a total of 383 times with 15,200 ft of elevation climbed.

It WAS HARD, BUT WE DID IT AND WE DID IT AS A UNIT to support @heartandsoulfitness1 - Soul of C’Ville & Yours Truly!

Until next year #CVILLE

This recognition doesn’t happen without Prolyfyck, so this nomination is really for the Creww!

Nominated for the Legacy In Motion Award

A powerful bridge between emerging energy and established wisdom. Instead of only honoring established elders, this celebrates someone actively building long-term impact right now.

This Juneteenth week hits a little different. Seeing the permanent Prolyfyck banner raised at the iconic Jefferson School City Center is a moment we won’t ever forget. It’s more than just fabric and ink; it’s a monument to every mile run, every community member lifted, and every barrier broken.

When we say WE HERE, it’s not a temporary visit. It’s a permanent promise. We are rooted. We are resilient. And we are here to stay.

Huge gratitude to everyone who has run, walked, cheered, and supported this movement. This belongs to all of us. Let’s keep moving forward.

@littlez____ sought to create a space where those who looked like him had a space to face their fears and be safe in the space of running. In so, he cofounded @prolyfyckruncreww . Its name was inspired after then-living rapper Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap lyric “I’m prolific, so gifted. I’m the type that’s gon’ go get it.”. Since its creation, James and @prolyfyckruncreww has helped create community impact and most importantly, confidence for a community that needed it

It’s deeper than running.

For some, it’s miles. For others, out there on the road or on the trail, it’s meditation. It’s grounding. It’s release. It’s a moment to come back to yourself.

This is what it means to move with intention.

The Prolyfyck Run Creww is growing — in the next 20 years, its leader wants to show up for the neighborhoods where they run.

Our Co-founder @littlez____ mentioned “I learned that I was able to do something that was so hard for me, and show up again,” Dowell said. “It gave me the encouragement to show up in other ways through life.”

Thank you @cvilletomorrow for allowing us to be apart of your 20th anniversary and to share our visions for the next 20 years. by @littlez____
