Second tune-up race: COMPLETE. 🏁🔥

Week 7 of 16. Members of the Sub-3 cohort took on District Running Collective’s District19 as the next checkpoint in their training block toward CIM.

Almost halfway through the training block, every workout, every long run, and every mile is building toward the goal. Tune-up races are an opportunity to put the work to the test, practice race-day execution, and see how far the cohort has come.

One race down, another in the books. More miles to go. The road to CIM continues. ⏱️

Big thank you to @districtrunningcollective for bringing the running community together and to @runcim262 for being the finish line we’re working toward.

Head to runjuneteenth.org/sub-3-initiative to learn more and follow the cohort’s journey to CIM.

Prolyfyck Run Creww in Charlottesville, Virginia started with a Nipsey Hussle lyric and a simple idea: running should build community from the ground up. In 2019, founders Littlez and Will took the line "I'm prolific, so gifted. I'm the type that's gon' go get it" and made it their crew's name and guiding principle. Now they have around 500 runners of all paces, with no membership fees.

Every Friday at 06:00 and Monday at 18:00, they meet at Jefferson School City Center, a historic building central to Charlottesville's Black community. The runs move at an easy pace. What happens after matters just as much: coffee, food, conversation, real connection.

Prolyfyck Run Creww operates from abundance, not competition. The crew has installed food pantries in local public housing, showing that their founding values are actually lived. You can follow the story at @prolyfyckruncreww.
