《Hand in Hand, We Become》 This piece is inspired by the form of a halved gourd. Rounded and full with the top and bottom perfectly aligned. The gourd is here symbolise the beginning of time with fortune, prosperity and wealth (fulu, 福祿) . The goldfish (jinyu, 金魚→金餘), they signify more than wealth but for abundance of prosperity and good fortune. Swimming head to tail in a hoop, forming an endless circle that represents continuous renewal and life. The opened gourd is no longer a sealed space. The playful movement of the fish fills it with flow, creating a cycle that welcomes energy and good fortune. They are not merely symbols of wealth, but rather represent love, companionship, time, and a universe where all things coexist. The design is accompanied with three liuli beads. They represent three promises: 'I see you, I hear you, and I am with you.' One entrepreneur, creating a gift for another friend who helped change the world. Loretta H. 《In Full Bloom》 The work shows a quiet transformation: the tree grows upward until it becomes a cloud. Two camellias bloom on the same branch, gently leaning toward each other. The camellia blooms in late winter, at the edge of spring, while other flowers are still waiting. It has already chosen to bloom. The two camellias share the same spirit: if I bloom, you bloom too. Together, they move through the season between cold and warmth. The branch supports the flowers and leads upward from the roots, slowly transforming into a soft cloud. As the tree becomes a cloud, the earthly becomes celestial. The composition is inspired by the “Ruyi,” a traditional Chinese scepter symbolizing good fortune. Ruyi means “as one’s heart desires.” The Ruyi shape appears naturally as the branch transforms into a cloud. There is no need to seek it; it comes into being on its own. This reflects the beauty of “Mutual Correspondence.” The three liuli beads represent memories of growth. Like time capsules, they preserve the traces of time.
