Diabetes doesn't stop being a concern after 5 p.m.

For employees managing diabetes or prediabetes, navigating their health can involve medication schedules, nutrition, appointments, monitoring, and ongoing lifestyle adjustments.

While employers aren't responsible for managing an employee's diagnosis, they can make accessing support easier.

That means looking beyond whether a benefit exists and asking whether employees can realistically use it.

Do they understand what's available? Can they access care around their schedules? Do they have guidance that helps them take the next step?

This National Diabetes Month, we're encouraging employers to look at how their benefits support the realities of employee health.

Because a healthier workforce starts with benefits employees can actually use.

Learn how LIVE TULA helps employers bridge the gap between benefits access and meaningful engagement. by @livetula

Benefits leaders have enough genuinely scary things to think about. 👻

Rising costs. Low utilization. Disconnected solutions. Employees who enroll but don’t stay engaged. Programs that look great on paper without creating enough meaningful change in real life.

The question heading into another benefits year shouldn’t only be, “What are we offering?”

It should also be: Is it actually helping our workforce get healthier?

Because more benefits and better benefits aren't always the same thing.

Lab values. Medical terminology. Medication instructions. Nutrition recommendations.

We have access to more health information than ever, but information isn’t particularly empowering when you don’t understand what it means.

Health literacy is the ability to find, understand and use health information to make decisions.

And everyone deserves that.

If you've been wanting to support your employees better, let's have a chat. by @livetula

We’ve made incredible progress in giving people access to more health information, tools and resources.

But there’s still a massive gap between receiving information and knowing what to do with it.

That gap shows up after the appointment. After the lab results. After someone receives a recommendation and goes back to their normal Tuesday.

Health literacy isn’t simply knowing more.

It’s being able to use what you know. by @livetula

When the same health conditions keep driving claims, appointments, prescriptions, and lost productivity, paying for care alone doesn’t change the cycle.

The opportunity is what happens between those moments.

LiveTula gives employees ongoing metabolic health support to help them better manage their health in everyday life, while helping employers protect the healthcare investment they’re already making.

Stop just paying for the cycle. Start changing it. Learn more at livetula.com by @livetula

$305 billion isn’t just a healthcare number. It’s lost productivity, missed work, and the broader economic impact of diabetes showing up beyond the doctor’s office.

For employers, managing metabolic health is a business issue, too.

LiveTula helps support employees between appointments, where better health management happens every day.

This World Mental Health Day, remember that employee health doesn’t happen in silos.

Stress, sleep, energy, chronic conditions, and the demands of managing your health can all shape how someone feels and functions throughout the workday.

Supporting the whole employee means making health support easier to access when real life is happening.
