It’s been nearly a year since Michael and Katherine’s wedding, and we're still not over it! If we’ve learned anything about these two, it’s that they know how to throw a good party.

Michael and Katherine brought a bit of Louisiana flair to the Classic City with a surprise second line through downtown Athens after their ceremony, enjoyed a night full of fabulous food and festivities, and spent hours tearing up the dance floor with their friends and family.

Instagram says it's good to show my face so here it is (with my infamous black puffy jacket.)

Lately I've been obsessed with forced carbonation, so this week's Tiki Taco Tuesday will not only be Oops All Daiquiris, it'll be Oops All Daiquiris & Highballs! We'll see how many I end up doing, it'll be between 6-10, depends on how fizzy I can maintain them over time.

Only TWO TTTs left. Come, or else!

Shout out to @millerswright
For hand modeling and snapping the pic of my face.

These photos are straight out of camera, I didn't bother with my typical tropical warm tone shenanigans. The black bar top doesn't really play well with all that.

(I'd love it if Instagram didn't delete my caption every single time, that'd be sick!) taken in Live Wire Athens by @livewire_athens

We've been living it up while holding it down for Townie Summer, but we'll be glad to welcome all of our students back to the Classic City in a couple of months. 😎☀️

Before you get too relaxed on your break, remember that fall (and winter) will be here before you know it. That means it's time to book your events!

The early bird gets the best venue (and deal) for their semi-formal, tailgate, game day watch party, parents weekend, or extremely specific and niche themed event, that you already know Live Wire Athens is down to host.

Be the early bird and send us a message to book your special event! taken in Live Wire Athens by @livewire_athens

Tiki Taco Tuesday last week was a blast! We got to welcome a ton of new people to LWA, drink delicious Tiki drinks, and raise funds for the Gender-Affirming Care Grant.

As for tonight, Tiki is on, rain or shine. Don Carne will making handcrafted tacos (with meat and vegetarian options), the Live Wire team will be behind the bar making your favorite Tiki drinks, featuring the finest ingredients from our sponsors, Denizen Rum and Luxardo, with THC offerings from our newest sponsor, Rhythm Cannabis! We won’t judge if you’re just in the mood for a beer, though.

It is the third Tuesday of the month, and that means Bachata Conexion Athens will be hosting dance lessons and social dancing in Robertson Hall. There is a $10 cover for dancing ($8 for students), which includes a $3 drink discount.

Rum Class will have two sessions, one at 5:45 PM sharp, and one at 9:15 PM (ish). Class is $5 and includes a robust lesson on rum history, culture, and distillation methods, plus several samples. This week, we learn about aging (rum) gracefully.

We’ll have the World Cup on inside, and we’ll be open a little bit later than 10 PM so that we can enjoy the Argentina vs. Algeria game until the end. taken in Live Wire Athens by @livewire_athens
