This metal file cabinet was gonna get trashed at Danny’s work, but he knew I’d like it so he took pictures for me. I told him YES, take it! After living in a two bedroom apartment for 13 years in Alexandria, we moved into this house in Leesburg 6 years ago.

We struggled with space in the apartment and the second bedroom had a door that lead to the parking lot so it was hard to make it into a guest room since we used that door to go in and out of rather than through the building. So when we found this house, I was excited to have two guest rooms!

Every time I think of where we are I thank God for what he’s provided. Now we can comfortably invite friends/family and have a room for them to stay in. It’s been a blessing. by @living.repurposed

I enjoying finding new antique things to collect. These plates are from cars, motorcycle and some I don’t even know what they could’ve been for, like this skinny plate “Carroll County VA”. The one on the bottom right I got last weekend. at @mercer.tavern.antiques every antique shop I go to I look for plates I can add to the mudroom wall. We’ll see where I find my next ones! by @living.repurposed

I am loving these decorative wood pieces I found at Mercer Tavern Antiques yesterday @mercer.tavern.antiques it’s as if they were meant to be in our home. As I walked in, they were right there in front of me asking me to take them home. I feel like it’s really completed this space and balanced out the wall. It was such a treat to meet Gracie’s @graciew.photography mom, Mary Ann the owner. Such a sweet lady and I look forward to coming back again soon to find other treasures! by @living.repurposed

Loving this Crown of Thorns plant. Thank you @marciaselbigmiller for passing it on to me. I hope I can keep it alive and well. Thought I’d share what I did for my desk space at work. Since we recently had our office re-carpeted and repainted I figured I might as well take the opportunity to make some shelves for my wall. Well it’s been a few years since I’ve actually posted anything! And after having this set of lockers for a few years, I figured last weekend would be a good opportunity to finally spray paint them. So here’s some before and after photos. Funny but I did not realize when I picked cream spray paint that it would blend into the walls, but I guess I don’t mind it too much since it doesn’t really stick out and it keeps things subtle and calm in this mud room. Danny helped when my fingers got tired of pushing done on the spray bottle 😁 I think I sprayed 3 coats. #oldlockers #schoollockers #vintage #lockers by @living.repurposed

Can you believe I finally took down the Christmas trees yesterday?!!🫣 Mom helped me take the ornaments off before she left in January but I’ve kept them up with their lights which was nice to have a little brightness in these dark winters. Anyway, keeping the garland on the mantle through the winter. Keeping it simple and pretty much the same. This painting I found for super cheap at an antique. I do want to figure out what to place here instead of the window frame. by @living.repurposed
