Dinner doesn’t have to be perfect to move you toward better health.

Some nights, “healthy eating” looks like a beautifully planned, from-scratch meal.

Other nights?

It looks like opening the pantry, pulling leftovers from the fridge, and asking:

What can I make in 20 minutes that gives my body what it needs?

That was this dinner. 👆

I had:

✨ Gluten-free pasta
✨ Pesto, olive oil + pantry spices
✨ Leftover rotisserie chicken — one of my FAVORITE shortcuts for quick meals
✨ Whatever vegetables were hanging around in the fridge: onion, fennel, garlic (always 😉), tomatoes and an assortment of peppers

I roasted the vegetables while the pasta cooked, tossed everything together with the chicken and pesto, and dinner was done.

Protein? ✔️
Fiber + colorful plants? ✔️
Healthy fats? ✔️
Easy enough for real life? BIG ✔️

This is what I want more women to understand about eating well in midlife:

You do not have to eat “perfectly.”
You do not need a complicated meal plan every night.
And there is no single picture of what a “healthy diet” has to look like.

Sometimes the best choice is simply the one that works for your body, your goals, your schedule and your life.

Because taking care of yourself isn’t an all-or-nothing proposition.

It’s learning how to make the next good choice with what you have. 💛

What’s one shortcut you keep on hand that makes healthy dinners easier? by @livingforwardwellness

On my way to my annual DEXA scan! 🦴 Ladies in your 40s, 50s, and 60s — aging well means showing up for yourself. Here’s what should be on your radar:

✅ Blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar checks

✅ Mammogram (starting at 40)

✅ Cervical cancer screening (Pap/HPV)

✅ Colon cancer screening (starting at 45)

✅ Bone density (DEXA) scan

💡 Bone health myth-buster: DEXA is standard at 65 — but if you’ve had a fracture, a family history of hip fracture, low body weight, smoke, or take steroids, you may need it in your 50s. Don’t wait. Ask your doctor about your fracture risk.

Prevention is power. Book the appointment. 💪 #WomensHealth #Menopause #BoneHealth #agevibrantly #livingforwardwellness

Wellness isn’t about doing everything “right.”

It’s about creating habits that support your health—and a life you actually enjoy living.

Most days, that means nourishing food, movement, sleep, managing stress and taking care of my body.

And sometimes it looks like getting dressed up, having dinner with people I love, ordering the cocktail…and enjoying every minute of it.

One meal doesn’t make you healthy. One celebration doesn’t make you unhealthy.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s building a healthy life that has plenty of room for living.

Because the goal isn’t just to live longer. It’s to live well. 💚 by @livingforwardwellness

Having access to more health data doesn't make you healthier.

Consumer lab platforms share results in a dashboard. Some even offer plans and next steps.

But there's no expert to go to when you have questions or need support.
When you order a panel through my practice, I personally review your results, using functional ranges, and build a wellness plan tailored to you. Finally, lab tests that lead somewhere.

Morning rituals don’t have to be complicated to be powerful. ☕️✨

This is one of my favorite parts of my morning routine — coffee, collagen, cinnamon, and a few quiet minutes before the day gets moving.

I’ve been using Designs for Health Whole Body Collagen consistently for about 3 years, and it remains one of my favorite supplements. It supports joint, skin, hair, nail, and bone health — all things that become even more important as we move through our 40s, 50s, and beyond.

And here’s the personal part: my own DEXA scan results have reflected the progress I’ve been working toward — and while no single supplement gets all the credit, this has been one intentional piece of my bigger bone-health strategy, along with strength training, protein, mineral support, lifestyle habits, and consistency.

Whole Body Collagen contains targeted collagen peptides, including FORTIBONE® for bone health, FORTIGEL® for joint/cartilage support, and VERISOL® for skin health. What I love is that this isn’t random supplementing — it’s targeted support for goals that matter in midlife.

And bonus: it gives me 11g of protein, which helps me work toward my daily protein goals. Small habits add up.

My current coffee combo:

☕️ Cuban blend coffee from my favorite local Richmond spot, @rostovs
🥄 Whole Body Collagen
🌿 Organic Ceylon cinnamon for flavor, antioxidants, and potential blood sugar/inflammatory support
🥛 A splash of half & half or my favorite non-dairy creamer from Elmhurst

The right supplements, at the right time, thoughtfully personalized for the right goals, can be a supportive part of your foundational nutrition and lifestyle plan.

Not every supplement is right for every person — and more is not always better. But when chosen intentionally, supplements can help fill the gaps and support the vibrant, strong, healthy life you want to keep living.

Wondering if collagen might be a good fit for you?

DM me COLLAGEN to schedule a free discovery call. 💚

“Healthy” isn’t about being perfect.

It’s not about denying yourself constantly, being overly restrictive, or following someone else’s version of what wellness should look like.

Healthy is about finding your version of balance.

Making room for the foods, traditions, celebrations, and people that bring you joy — while still caring for the body you want to live vibrantly in.

My version of healthy doesn’t need to look like your version. And your version doesn’t need to look like mine.

And if anyone tells you that “healthy” is a one-size-fits-all approach, without considering your needs, your life, your preferences, your history, and your goals?

Find a new advisor. 😉

Healthy is about balance.

Your balance.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! 🌮🍹

Happy Earth Day 🌎
Today is a good reminder that health isn’t just about what we eat — it’s also about how we live, breathe, move, and connect.

Fresh air, sunshine, movement, and time in nature are powerful forms of nourishment too.

Getting outside may seem simple, but it can do so much for stress, mood, and overall well-being.

Today, I’m grateful for this beautiful planet and the reminder to slow down, soak it in, and keep moving forward.

Progress, not perfection.
