This project took me on a journey across the country and through history! I’ve saved the full story of how I gathered black walnuts in Salem and used them to create these custom-dyed, zero-waste tote bags as a highlight reel if anyone is interested. The pattern is by @bag.uettes for anyone who wants to make one of these practical lil cuties for themselves!

Before and after! I had so much fun restoring and altering this 1950’s cocktail dress and sharing the whole process in my stories! I put them all in a highlight reel if anyone wants to watch the whole thing from the beginning.

So excited to share pics of my latest project for @astralbeacon because it features some of the most detailed work I’ve ever done!
This ensemble features 7 zipper welts as well as two slanted pockets and every single one is functional! Although, because the zipper tab takes up a certain amount of the pocket openings, the smallest pocket only opens about 1/8”
What would you put into such tiny pockets?

8 years ago I made this rocket as a Halloween costume when I was still a college flunk-out making ends meet as a sushi waitress. 5 years ago I featured this piece in my portfolio when I applied to the costume program at @calarts. Now that I successfully support myself doing what I love, I still display this rocket in my hallway to remind me how far I’ve come. My sincerest thanks to everyone who’s supported me along the way ❤️❤️❤️
