The way writing a story sometimes starts off: early, upside down in one way or another, circling words that move me so then I have reason to run to paper and start forming my own.

Maybe try, if you're stuck at the start.
Read a page of Annie Dillard, Wendell Berry, Robert Farrar Capon, Mary O.
Wait til you find one word that sings you straight to your feet.

It's even hard to post this, because I'm so afraid of letting people down when they are hurting or suffering, which *also* means I think too highly of my own ability to help solve or heal. Trying to let this go. Maybe others hit the same snare out there...no pressure to say so, just know that you've got company 🫶🏽

A quick spot to share an idea so we can bring taking care of strangers to the forefront of our minds. Whether it's something you've tried, seen someone else do, or might try soon 🤍

IDEA: The other night we had a big family grill out, and two of my nieces filled paper plates with food and carried them across the street to some firemen in training. It wasn't planned, just their organic decision to be kind...and honestly, a bit vulnerable. Sometimes hospitality makes your heart race because you don't know how it will be received. by @lizbellyoung

Put a few words to how you want your home to feel. Your own, true-to-you words. Then, instead of thinking it has to happen in entirety or all at once, try *one afternoon*, *one area* of a room. (I would love to hear how it goes for you.) by @lizbellyoung

Sometimes we lose our nerve.
Sometimes we lose our ability to get from A to B.
Sometimes we lose a friend.
Sometimes we lose a long-held hope.
And when our legs are too tired to return to these things ourselves...we might need someone to step in, get their car keys, and help us bring the lost things home.
