Today - June 7th 2023 - is @canada “Clean Air Day 2023” - note, I wish nothing but the best for those directly impacted by the fires, my heart goes out to them because if this is what we are experiencing I can’t imagine what they are going through. But I also can’t help but note the irony of the date and to share this image, from my own window, of how widespread the impact is. Cited from the Government of Canada website : “Air pollution knows no boundaries. It can affect every area of Canada including urban and rural areas. That’s why this year’s theme is “Clean Air Everywhere”…. Air pollution can travel far from its source. For example, wildfire smoke, a major source of air pollution in Canada during the summer months, can affect air quality in rural and urban areas thousands of kilometres away from the fire zone. Wood-burning appliances contribute to air pollution in many rural and urban locations, and air pollutant emissions can impact both indoor and outdoor air quality.”

Mother Nature is trying to tell us something, and it’s well overdue for everyone to start to listen.

Memorial Day is a day of reflection and remembrance of those who died while serving in the U.S. military.

However, it is also a day to recognize our veterans who served and are still with us today - many of whom come home changed from their lived experiences.

@gallopnyc knows how the power of therapeutic horsemanship can change the lives of our veterans which is why US Military Veterans (and their family members) ride for *FREE*!

Today is the last day of my Instagram fundraiser for the amazing 2023 Central Park Promenade - so if you can please *DONATE NOW*!

Anyone who sees this after today can go to gallopnyc.org/veterans-programs to learn more and support all of GallopNYC’s incredible work!

So overwhelmed by the success of the @gallopnyc Central Park Promenade 2023 today! Had the honor of riding this darling Arabian & Quarter Horse mix named Celine (from Alanna / @urbanequineescapes ) - a long overdue reunion of horse and rider but we both had so much fun together!

Thank you to all who came out, donated, shared and supported!!

My Instagram fundraiser will still be open for a few more days and I’ll post more pictures of the event! But right now I’m just basking in what a wonderful day we had!

Happy (belated) Mothers Day post to the one and only Rosie Rose! **Yes, that is indeed her, not me, pictured here! I know, we’re twins!!**

Thankful for the afternoon Mother’s Day work visit to @gallopnyc during my shift at Sunrise yesterday and, more so, for a mom who has encouraged me in all my endeavors (and for all aunts & uncles who dig up pictures like this! Thank you @jhoareht98 for this gem)

Oh the places we’ve gone! And the places we’ll go! Congratulations @shelleynierenberg on being the well deserved honoree for tonight’s @pcdc_nyc performance! So honored to have been able to reunite with so many amazing people I haven’t seen in ages & for all the memories - so thank you for bringing us all together again! From past to present, the love’s what we’ll remember ❤️(and I know I’m missing people so please tag those I’ve missed / can’t find!)
