Rockpool watercolours from this years stay on Inislackin in Connemara. An amazing array of colours and shapes. If I had to come back as a creature, a periwinkle wouldn’t be the worst thing.

Very excited to announce my upcoming workshop in @amo_and_pax on Saturday 10th Oct 2026 🎺

CREATIVE FLOW Workshop…
will be a day of fun, creativity & relaxation, it’s about connecting you to your own creativity, & is for people with no experience of art, beginners or practising artists.

It’s a beautiful space, so come alone or with friends, family & let’s have some fun while you find your flow 💫

Last workshop for ‘The Book of Killanne’ Saturday 5th September 10.30 -2.30.
A sneak peek at some content..

One of Pauline Macey’s pages, based on her sewing copy from school in 1964. Imagine learning to knit a small sock and turn the heel at age six!!

Mrs Clince or Mag as she was known, at the cross in Killanne. She reared 2 generations of my family while simultaneously raising her own family. She had a phenomenal memory and lived to be 100.

My grandmother in her beloved garden. She had 9 children including the legendary Rackard brothers, Nicky, Billy and Bobby who won the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championships in 1955 and 1956. She fed and watered them as well as the garden - nothing blooms without that kind of care.

Martin Codd who was in the Wexford team wrote this lovely recollection of his first meeting with Nicky.. taken in Dublin, Ireland by @lizrackard

A portrait of my great friend Maggie who passed away 8 years ago, which took me a few years to finally complete. The background is merging onto her face and her skin tone is floating onto the background. She was disappearing and fading before my eyes.
We studied Chinese Medicine together doing clinical practice in Nanjing for a month in 1992. The photos show us with our team, doctor and interpreter and me on a rainy day doing a fashion walk for the patients who’d shown up that day. A phone call from Maggie (in Mayo) meant everything stopped for the next hour and more while we caught up. She’d have loved seeing Mayo win 🏆 by @lizrackard

It’s been great to see all the ideas pouring in for the Book of Killanne.
There’s been some really interesting stories, memories & artefacts. I have loved catching up with the community.
Myself & Mick are looking forward to seeing everyone at the next workshop this Saturday 10.00 - 1.00 in the community hall.
As always all are welcome, newcomers too, even if you just want to pop in & see what we’ve been up to 📖 taken in Wexford, Ireland by @lizrackard

I’m revisiting the past in County Wexford working with the community in Killanne on what will become ‘The Book of Killanne’ a handmade one-off artist’s book that will capture a moment in time. Photos show
1. My father Bobby (on left) with his brothers Nicky & Billy - Wexford All-Ireland winners 1955, 1966
2. Inside the community hall with the community who have been so welcoming
3. Outside the community hall
4. Workshopping and trying out ideas
5. Rackards pub nowadays
6. Rackards pub back in the day
Wer’e looking forward to returning next week, there is so much to celebrate here, so many memories, photos letters, people and places. Thanks to @killannedevelopment @wexfordcoco @creativeireland taken in Co Wexford by @lizrackard
