UCWDC Worlds 2026 💙

Perhaps this is the greatest gift of all;
performing together as one
mind, body, and soul;
Fire igniting a passion and love for dance
A joy unparalleled to any other.

I’m still struggling to find all the words to express my gratitude and joy for my experience these past few days. My original dance, ‘Drive You Out Of My Mind (Needle Hitting 90)’ won 3rd place in intermediate/advanced country choreography. It was an honor to stand on the podium next to incredibly talented dancers and fellow choreographers.

I am so blessed to be surrounded by wonderful friends and family who have supported me every step of the way. Thank you all for being a part of my journey, I couldn’t have done it without yall!!

I’m so happy to officially announce I will be competing in the UCWDC Novice line dance category this upcoming season. This is something I’ve wanted to do for the past two years and it’s finally going to happen and I couldn’t be more excited and grateful to have the support system I do.

Cheers to 2026 and new dance opportunities starting very soon!! 🫶✨ by @lizzyb_02

The Edge Dance Event 2026
3rd place 🥉 #76
Women’s Advanced Line Dance ✨

It still feels like a dream.
What an honor, what a privilege to dance with so many incredibly talented dancers who also happen to be some of my very best friends.
What a joy it is to share our love of dance together.
I am still struggling to find all the words, I am beyond overwhelmed in the best way with so much love and gratitude. Glory to God always for this gift.

I’d like to give a special shout out to my coaches:
@souraya_lorenz who is working with me for UCWDC and training me in many new dance styles, for your encouragement on and off the floor, for believing in me always and pushing me to new heights,

@jivinjonno for prepping me for Don’t Call Me Baby and fine tuning my stylistic choices, and also making me laugh and smile when I needed it most (especially when I was stressing in practice)

@wiz_felipa for all your guidance with cha cha and samba rhythm and styling, and for being such a light in this community and a shining example of grace and poise. Thank you for all your support.

Truly, I couldn’t have made it this far without yall. 🩵

Thank you to all my friends and family who have supported me from near and far, all of you who have cheered for me, recorded videos for me, been in my corner, I’m so blessed to have so many wonderful friends in my circle 🥹🫶

Last but not least I want to give a shoutout to one of my best friends, @alexissschavez . She has been with me in this journey since the beginning and I don’t think she realizes just how much of an impact she has made on my dance journey; she has been inspiring me for a long time- and how much she has brightened my life by being such a wonderful friend; always cheering the loudest for me (swipe to end to see attached video. I’m crying all over again.)

Thank you @adiadance and all the staff @theedgedanceevent
for putting on this wonderful event and giving us the opportunity to perform and express our love of dance.

Congratulations to my lovely fellow podium ladies @chloklei and @dancinwithki and to all incredible finalists.

I love you all. Thank you for everything. See ya real soon 🫶✨ by @lizzyb_02

Halloweekend night 1! 🎃 by @lizzyb_02

$Dear Kelsey, I miss you so incredibly much. It’s hard to believe it’s been two years. Two years since I heard your laugh. Two years since I last hugged you. Two years of adventures, stories, and moments where my first thought has been, “I wish I could tell Kelsey about this,” or “I wish I could ask her for advice about this.” You had a way of telling me exactly what I needed to hear in the moment and bringing me back to the present when my anxiety tried to get the best of me. There are so many things happening in my life now that I wish you were here to see. There are so many people who have now learned “Run Me Like a River” that it fills the floor! The respect the community has for that dance and the way everyone continues carrying on your memory is so special. I swear I can almost see you on the floor with us every time that song comes on. I’ve been able to spend some time with your wonderful mom this year. She gave me your UCWDC dress bag, and I’m using it for my competition dresses this season. There’s something really special about getting to carry a little piece of your dance life with me into this chapter of mine. Every time I grab it before a competition, I think of you. I just wish more than anything that you could be here competing alongside me. It would’ve been so much fun to travel and compete for UCWDC together. You’d probably get a kick out of the fact that I’m learning how to teach Two Step now too. Not just line dance anymore! I wish I could tell you all about the classes and everything I’m learning. I still think about you before every teaching gig. Whenever I get nervous or start doubting myself, I think about the encouragement you always gave me and how you somehow knew exactly what to say to calm me down and remind me that I could do it. I promise to do my very best to follow the example you left behind—always displaying kindness, compassion, and respect for all people, on and off the dance floor. I hope I can make even a fraction of the impact on others that you made on everyone lucky enough to know you. No matter how much time passes, I’ll keep carrying you with me. by @lizzyb_02$

Paradise Dance Fest 2026 🩵🌴

When I walked into this convention for the first time four years ago, I had no idea just how much of an impact it would have on my dance journey. It was my first time seeing a West Coast Swing + UCWDC competition.

I’ll never forget watching the Allstar/ Champion spotlight final for the first time that night. The next morning, I watched the UCWDC line and couples competition, and I knew in that moment this was something I wanted to pursue, even though I didn’t know if it was possible. I spent the next few years working extra hours, planning, and budgeting to make this dream a reality.

Four years later, I found myself back at the same event that sparked my love for these competitions, but this time, it was my turn to pin a bib on. Getting to dance alongside my best friends, work with wonderful coaches who have been so supportive throughout this journey, and see the progress I’ve made is such a blessing and brings me so much joy.

This weekend, I danced in my first-ever Novice WCS semifinals! While I didn’t quite make the cut to finals, it’s incredibly encouraging to see the growth and progress I’m making in this style of dance.

In UCWDC, I took home first place for mine and Katie’s choreography, “Take The Lead”! 🥇 @katie_can_linedance

In the Honky Tonk division, @lexdance.5678 and I tied for second overall! 🥈

In UC Novice Line, I placed third overall! 🥉

Honors and Gold judges’ marks across the board!! ✨

With that, I’m officially qualified to compete at the UCWDC World Championships in Dallas, TX, and I couldn’t be more excited.

A very special thank you to my coaches: @souraya_lorenz, @taratrafzer, & @dancejonnodance . I couldn’t do this without y’all🫶

And thank you to my friends and family for your ongoing love and support. 🩵

With that… let the countdown to Worlds begin!! 🌎✨ by @lizzyb_02

With the saints give rest, O Christ,
to the soul of Your servant Jessica,
where there is no pain, no sorrow, no sighing,
but life everlasting. ☦️

Jessie, I wish this wasn’t goodbye. I wish we had been given more time, more conversations, more laughter, and just one more chance to see each other. I am so thankful that I got to know you and grow up in the church alongside you and Maddy. I will always be grateful that our lives crossed and that you were a part of so many of my childhood memories.

While there is much sorrow in saying our earthly farewell today, I am comforted knowing you are with our Savior, free from pain and suffering, and resting peacefully in His presence. I hope you knew just how deeply you were loved and how much your life meant to the people blessed enough to know you.

Rest peacefully, sweet Jessie. I am so thankful for the time we were given, and I will carry those memories with me always. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Memory eternal. Until we meet again. 🤍🪽 by @lizzyb_02

I don’t even know where to begin. I’m struggling to find the words because it simply doesn’t feel real. My heart and prayers are with your family and your sister, I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss.❤️‍🩹

Jessie, I am so thankful that I got to grow up with you and Maddy as church family. I will forever treasure these memories, all the laughter, dancing, and joy you brought into all our lives. What a blessing it was to see you grow up and to spend those precious times together for holidays at Laura’s, late night church services, and many milestone occasions. I wish we had more time.

I know you’re no longer in pain, there’s no more cancer, and Jesus is holding you so tightly for those of us here who miss you dearly. I wish I could’ve seen you one more time and given you one more hug. Keep watch over all of us, you are so loved and will forever be missed.

Memory eternal Jessie. Fly high sweet girl 🪽

The Club 2026: where you’ll always find your way back home ♣️🪩🫶

Wow, what an amazing weekend!! I have so much love for this community and it was so lovely spending time with all of you 🥰

Thank you @gabrielle_tenney @dancemomjenna @katie_can_linedance for putting on this event, for all your hard work behind the scenes, and making the Club feel like home. It’s been so incredible to watch the vision come to life and see just how much of a positive impact this has had on the dance community as a whole.

I had a wonderful time styling hair, meeting new friends, and competing this weekend! I ended up making semis in all level stationary swing (top 16 out of 35 follows) and finals for advanced female line dance😁

So grateful for the opportunity- cheers to the Club Sophomore year! 🎉 by @lizzyb_02

Happiest of birthdays to my best friend/ ride or die/ shared brain cell 🩵

I’m so grateful for you and your constant, steady presence. I’ve learned so much from you over the years, and it’s been such a blessing having your friendship through every season of life.

Thank you for always believing in me, especially during the times when I didn’t fully believe in myself, and for always pushing me to be the best version of myself. Having your support and guidance means the world to me.

It’s been so wonderful to see your hard work and dedication come to fruition over the past year, and the best is still yet to come. I can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish over this next year, and you’ll have me here to cheer you on every step of the way.

May this year be your best yet—you deserve all the love and happiness this life has to offer.

Love you always!! Let’s pop some champagne (perhaps mix a Hugo Spritz or two…) and celebrate! Cheers to another year 😁✨🥂 by @lizzyb_02
