POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve been going through my old choreography lately, and I realized I want to start sharing more of it here. I’m really proud of the pieces I’ve created over the years, but even more proud of the dancers who poured their hearts into bringing them to life.

Throwing it way back to Nightingale. 🕊️✨Raelyn was so young when we worked on this together and it was one of the first couple of competitive solos I ever created. Endlessly proud of her work during this season and beyond! This one will always be a favorite. 🤍 #lj.choreography #starpowertalent by @lj.choreography

👑🖤 SOMEBODY TO LOVE • Some of my favorite stage moments from Ella’s solo! Hard to believe Ella didn’t like this song when we started choreography almost a year ago... I laugh now because I can’t imagine her not doing this piece! She was pushed outside her comfort zone, but she put her trust in me and we created something awesome. This is why I love what I do. To be able to show kids they are capable of greatness! Big congrats to Ella and her accomplishments this season. What a way to finish out the year with a Title Runner-Up win! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this kiddo. #somebodytolove #dance #rcdc #proudteacher by @lj.choreography

🕊️✨ RUNNING • A few of my favorite moments from Lakyn’s solo this year! There are few words to describe the immense pride I feel to have had the opportunity to choreograph for Lakyn this season. We created this together to share a story that is uniquely her own. Her drive, compassion, and attention to detail have served her well this season with multiple judges awards for passion and performance. Life presented its own struggles, but she held her head high and has had immense growth, both on and off the stage. Her tenacity is unlike any other. I can’t wait to see what is next in store for her! #running #dance #rcdc #proudteacher taken in Little Rock, Arkansas by @lj.choreography

💙🖤 NEXT BIG THING • Some of my favorite highlights and stage moments from Savannah’s first solo! I am so proud of this dancers drive to be the best she can be. Sav’s work ethic and movement quality shone brighter than ever when she challenged her self with a solo this year. She trusted the process and truly grew in so many ways. What an honor it has been to be her teacher and coach through this year. She is going to go far and I can’t wait to watch! #nextbigthing #dance #rcdc #proudteacher by @lj.choreography

🤪🤍🌺 • HOOKED my senior small group from my first season with @rcdancecenter.conway! What an honor is has been to be able to work with kids who never once questioned the vision/insanity/goal for this piece. From 1st overalls to awards given for their stellar (consistent) performances, these kids exceeded my expectations and my wildest dreams. I cannot wait to see what we get to create together next year. I am so endlessly proud of each and everyone of you! taken in Rock City Dance Center - Conway by @lj.choreography

SWINE 🐽 I never got around to sharing this routine from years ago and I thought ‘why not now!?’ Truly one of my favorite pieces and the best group of kids to create on. We had SO MUCH FUN and I miss them all with my whole heart. Cheers to these now big kids and their @starpowertalent Battle of the Stars win back in ‘23! taken in Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino by @lj.choreography

💎🏆🤍LIKE THIS, LIKE THAT // My @danceprecisions mini trio that held a top 3 overall score the entire season and finished with a 2nd place national title at @starpowertalent. They trusted me the entire year and worked harder than they ever have to be consistently placing. These kids will each be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years… look out! To Skylie, Everly, and Grecia thank you for everything, training hard, and wanting to be champions. Continue to believe in yourselves and push for those goals! This was one of the easiest and most FUN processes I’ve ever had as a choreographer. I am so grateful and I miss you all so much!

333 🤍 Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude for each and every one of you. Over the last 3 years, you have not only trusted me as your teacher but have also become an irreplaceable piece of my heart. This journey we’ve embarked on this year together has been filled with countless moments of joy, sweat, figuring out counts (iykyk), and triumph, and I am continuously in awe of your dedication and passion.

This latest feat of learning an entirely new dance in just 3 hours is a testament to your incredible talent and perseverance. The 3 days of rehearsals showed me, yet again, your unwavering commitment to our craft. Your ability to adapt, to push through challenges, and to bring such beauty and emotion to every movement fills me with immense pride as an educator and choreographer.

Thank you for the countless hours you’ve dedicated, for the trust you’ve placed in me, and for the unyielding love you poured into every step of this new piece. You are not just dancers to me; you are family, and I am endlessly grateful for the magic we created together a week before nationals. taken in Dance Precisions by @lj.choreography

“Mama Makes Three” // choreography by @laurenjohnstton

If you told me a year ago I’d be putting a ‘scorpion turn’ in a musical theatre jazz dance, I would’ve called you absolutely insane! If you told me said dance would win a VIBE AWARD at nationals I would’ve laughed in your face… Yet here I am able to say WE did those things and prove it with the most incredible video of a piece I never knew I was capable of creating. To this ridiculously talented group of ladies, I am so proud of everything you’ve accomplished this season. We went on a roller coaster creating this dance and ended the season with an absolute bang! I am endlessly proud of you all! #danceprecisions #dp #ljchoreography by @lj.choreography

Endlessly proud of these little ones for their dedication to this piece, this team, and their studio. What an honor it was to see this team grow throughout the season. Sad to see it go, but ready for what’s in store for season 35! #danceprecisions #dp #ljchoreography by @lj.choreography
